Interesting way to "break up" peaceful demonstrations, isn't it?
I wonder when Andrews will ask the super Chief for a nice can of pepper spray, Bill W and company being the first victims :)
I've never understood why after 10,000 years and change humans still try to redress their grievance with street demonstrations that create more polarized problems than they solve.
I only covered one as a reporter and only because I wheedled a hazard duty bonus from my cowardly 10th floor perch in an office building looking down. The scene was the Democratic National Convention in San Fransisco in July 1984 and the combatants were hard hats joining ranks with gays to beat the living crap out bisexuals. I mean, who can ever trust them, right?
When I dress for battle, I'm usually barefoot and beltless. Sometimes even nekid.
Bill's story reminds me of an old Boston Police Ltnt I knew..I asked him how he felt about hippies back in the 60s.."loved 'em", he said, "lots of overtime"!..also used to speak of how much he loved his nightstick..
What a great view of Hamilton Beach!!!..

Winter Fucking Wonderland!!!...William, youre talent as a photographer is quite evident..how the hell did you get kicked out of Town Meeting??
You may have noticed that the vote numbers on banners have become large (1000+). This is a result of robots attempting to create accounts on the site and blindly submitting the first form on the page (which is the "thumbs up" banner vote form).
Some technical changes have been made to counteract this. These should mostly not be visible, except that now any votes submitted while you are on the registration page or a profile page will not be counted. (You'll see a message briefly saying it wasn't counted. Most human users don't spend much time on those pages, so it shouldn't be too much of a hassle.)
Also, all vote counts were reset to zero to start fresh. Future votes should more or less reflect human opinion of the banner. While robots will still get through and submit votes, these will randomly flip between "pro" or "con" and should balance each other out in the long run.
Please get to voting! This way, Bill knows what you like and what you don't.
Hamilton Beach, Quaset Island, call it what you will...on a clear day Cleveland's Ledge and Falmouth are visible...the breeze is constant and its a quick trip to Long Beach and B Bay...the erosion has done a number on the beach and very unfortunately it will never be replaced...
