Alright, I circled the Town offices twice. Two department heads smiled, turned tail and hustled away. Everyone who talked has heard the same rumor; Wareham Town Accountant Brian Kudish was fired and escorted off Town property this morning.

Interim Town Administrator Derek Sullivan told his Administrative Assistant he too busy to see me but Ms Green did say the administrator's office is not in the habit of commenting on personnel decisions.

Meh.

Another Town Accountant bites the dust! Why? Hopefully we did not give him a settlement like the other lady.  Town has no Town Accountant and an interim TA. This place is rediculous.  Sad to say i live here. we lost a town adnimistrator this year and now an accountant.  whats next?  How long can this go on. Great Board we have.

Follow the money as we have been saying for three  years now.

I expect there is about to be a very serious situation, financially, for the Town.

Too many crooks, incompetents, mooches and scumbags for something NOT to be wrong.

I guess we just stand by...

At one of the selectmen’s meetings before town meeting last week the selectmen asked Kudish a question. It was at the end of the meeting, the sound sucked and I wasn’t really paying that much attention. I do know he didn’t have the answer to the question he gave what I thought was a kind of convoluted answer. He also said he wasn’t familiar with our system and he was still learning the system.
Maybe next time they will hire someone who knows our system and doesn’t have to learn it on the job.

Green… I don’t think they the extra 20 grand just for him. I think the town increased the salary because no one was responding to the first ad with a lower salary. I guess there are a lot of towns looking for a town accountant. I could be wrong but I think that is why the salary was increased. That said, they should have hired someone with municipal experience

why did they hire  this man if he did not have muncipal experience, why did they pay him 20k more than the job calls for , wareham has a reputation as a place that is a place that you should not apply to if you want a long term place to work. we had a good acct. in the name of bliss ,he was forced out by the mad dogs  of brenda and jayne , and since then all we have had in the acountants job are loosers. wareham will not recover as long as the  donahues and there ilk are still in wareham goverment.

I bundled up and peddled over to Town Hall this afternoon to ask the same question I asked Friday. I left a message and a phone number. Was Wareham Town Accountant Brian Kudish fired and if so, why? Three days to compose a statement and spike the rumors isn't asking much, is it?

My subsequent calls to the TA's office went unanswered until I blocked my caller ID. Susan Green tells me she isn't authorized to say anything, noting once again the TA customarily doesn't comment on personnel matters.

Feeble fib.

Waiting three days to acknowledge the dismissal of the guy with his hands on a broke-ass town's money doesn't inspire confidence.

"So-and-so no longer works for the town of Wareham. Details to follow." That so hard?

Instead, all five selectmen - who probably told Derek to keep his mouth shut - spent the weekend saying nothing. I'm guessing this won't end well.
