the court yard is overgrown , its like a jungle and we aretakeing scarce help from the main library and sending them over to the spinney library  ,therefore are main library is short staffed  ,we used to spend over 650k at the main library ,last year we spent 250k on the library , and now we are not hireing any help for the new  spinney library ,we are robbing help from the main library, the new libraary will be open less than 10 hrs a week , why arnt we hireing new help for the spiining libraryand why are we stealing help from the old already short saffed library, why cant someone  maintain the library court yard.

I have been saying it for years, and I will say it again: GET OUT of the Library business.

Go back to the way things were when they worked...the libraries were subsidized and supported by the donors that contributed and the general public for use as needed.

You should have a GREAT understanding by now, especially with the officials you have elected, that the Town Government can't run a damn thing successfully.

Sad...but true.

By the way...it is 2:55 P.M. and 14,382 people are on line with us :)

Seriously, and Bill will testify to this: we have had an unusual amount of registrations for this site in the last few days. I am hopeful it is a sign that the political activists, that kind of gave up a couple of years ago, are back to understanding that the only way to save the Town is to take it over and really run it. Three full time Selectmen....and NO carpet- baggers.

Hmmm.....must be looking for some objectivity and some truth.   WOW 6:11 P.M.  22,572 people on-line.  ...Must be looking for something!  Welcome to all the lurkers out there.

Why ask if there is anyone out there when the home page shows millions of people on-line...Can it be the admin doesn't believe his own statistics.

Dan is mimicking the Halifax Hore a bit, which is to say, a lot.

We are seeing a spike in registrations but in this economy, it's a fair bet many of them are spam shills for retailers, waiting to pounce and peddle their lovely handbags and adorable shoes. If and when you see these vultures uncloak, please feel free to abuse them unmercifully.

If it's any comfort at all, this site is read regularly and read first for Wareham news by reporters from the Boston Globe, the NY Times, the Wall Street Journal and the Standard-Times. Big whoop, right? Each of those august bird cage liners are running skeleton crews and shedding staff in every direction.
