I’m confused by 7b, are they are going to withdraw the liquor license from Quahog Republic. I drive by Quahog almost every day, they are working their butts off trying to get the place opened and now they are going to take the liquor license away. Didn’t they have to borrow money from the chamber of commerce to make the improvements? Wasn’t that loan based on the fact that they had a liquor license?  I really hope they don’t screw this guy over.

Which Chamber of Commerce? The answer to that may explain the rest.

The Cape Cod Canal Chamber of Commerce, the one in Buzzards Bay. When Quahog republic had their first meeting with the selectmen, either the owners of Quahog or someone from the Chamber said they would give them a loan for over $100,000 but they would only give them the loan if they were able to get a liquor license.

Then the summer silly season has begun and I'm as stumped as you are.

I know who to call but would rather see it all play out  Tues. evening. That's not the only item on the agenda promises some fun.

Cara Winslow wrote this morning to say, "We are not taking back anything that we gave [Quahog Republic], they will still have their liquor license."

A "Pledge of Liquor License is different from an actual license," Winslow says, and the Tuesday agenda item rescinding the no longer required Pledge is simply a technical matter.
