Census numbers released in recent days reveal Wareham's population grew over the last ten years - a period notable for its massive building boom - at a rate of 7.3 percent, the number prompting yawns or fear.

So which is it? Remind yourself Robert Slager hasn't two brain cells to rub together and hit the snooze alarm.

Wareham doubled in size between 1970 and 1980 and did not grow at all over the next 20 years. At seven percent growth, the population doubles in 100 years.
