Andrews was "awarded" a 3% bump in pay for "outstanding" performance last night. Selectwoman Brenduh Eckstrom used the word "awesome" at least three times describing how she felt about TA Andrews. Basically the only criticism was his "time management skills"...apparently because he cares too much, and he can't always get to everything (I think Superman also has this problem).
How about the fact that he can't secure a Full Time Police Chief, even though we're basically paying for one, and he's been claiming to be working on it (and "close" to getting it done) for about a year now...or how about hiring under qualified, over-paid buddy Myles Burke as Director of Inspectional Services (and his girlfriend)...to name just a couple of his "lesser achievements"...Oh, and don't worry about the budget being adversely affected by this..Andrews had already figured it in.

I saw the financial representation "proposed" for the Special Town Meeting (STM) in April. WHAT ? You say you didn't know about a STM ?
Well, let me say that the $1.75 M of free cash we had in October has been absorbed because of poor financial management. I'm not accusing anyone here but from the accountant's office the 2010 budget closed in deficit over $700,000 and we're already overspent in this FY some $300,000. with four months to go. How can this be ?
I don't see how ANYONE can receive a raise based on the figures I've seen.
I'm beginning to wonder who is actually minding the store ? It's like a friggin free for all.
