I just got off the phone with Anne Eisenmenger, who tells me, "Mostly with events like that we give press releases one shot in the paper."

You won't take that press release down, I asked?

"We don't plan to."

So I asked, will you write a story explaining what Mr Slager plans to do with the proceeds of his workshop or where COA found money to underwrite this program for their seniors?

"I'd be interested," she said, "but we get a number of press releases every day and just put them up online... I'd be passing this along to Jaime Rebhan, if she were here, but she's attending the ad hoc budget meeting."

Yes, the answer was no answer. Anne, you to have a career in public relations!

Upcoming Council on Aging events

Oh, thank God.  It's our state tax dollars that are being flushed down the toilet, not our Wareham property taxes.  I feel so much better now.

Consider the source, Peter. Dollars to Bobo Nuts, the town is on the hook for it.

Wareham town property is being tied up, the Council on Aging (sorry Bobo, didn't mean to show off with my ability to spell Council) Office is listed as the place to call, there are town resources being used here.

I think the money is coming from the Wellness Grant that CEDA wrote for the COA.
