You may participate as long as you agree with the opinions and ideas of the selectmen or if they like you personally. Otherwise, they can humiliate you and call you names. Civility and professionalism does not apply.

Just listening to Jane and Brenda talk (down) to Liz concerning her appointment application to the COA is enough to make me sick. I hope the people in this town that voted for change in April stick around and complete that task...it ain't done yet.
Just appoint her..maybe the chair of the COA (Boucher?) should be removed.

I think Idiot Eckstrom did it again..while Steve was asking Larry about his views of the relationship of the library board of trustees and the friends of the WFL..Larry said he wasn't a member of the friends..Steve asked..why not?..Idiot Eckstrom said something like 'he wants to know where the money's going"..everyone seemed to not know what she said..and she didn't repeat it (vid clip soon enough)..and blogging (again) a big issue when Larry's up there.
Brenda and Jane..you guys suck..if you don't want people blogging about it..stop sucking..clear enough for you's??

Is Freedom of Blogging included with Freedom of Speach? Could it come under Freedom of the Press, as it is typed?
I don't believe any issue of "blogging" should have been brought up in an interview for any committee. Qualifications for a committee should NOT be whether or not you blog. What are they afraid of? They are digging their political graves deeper and deeper with each BOS meeting.

Holy crap. Watching Liz and Larry McDonald getting interviewed tonight was like watching the Spanish Inquisition. It's like they were ready to break out the hot lights and everything. I applaud them for going through it and Wareham's a better place for having them serve.
Thoughts, because there's alot to talk about after that display:
1) Really, who gives a flying crap that the rag isn't being put out with the Meals and Wheels? It was ILLEGAL for them to be going out with the Meals and Wheels. Why are Brenda and Janey complaining about something that was illegal being stopped?
2) Good for Steve Holmes saying that Brenda's question was "bull." It was bull.
3) Oh, Brockton Brenda. Rude, crass, and classless as always. All these petty insults on the Friends of the Library. You insult people left and right and then whine about why can't everyone talk instead of blogging. Somone did try to talk directly to the board last week and you called him an idiot and then he asked for an apology and was called an idiot again.

Re: past sewer bills.
If anyone knows Mr. Holmes, please suggest to him to check out section 8 of chapter 58 of the MGL. the DOR can authorize abatements of prior years under certain circumstances. This situation may be remedied under 8 of 58. Needs to be checked. Not sure about this case.
Just don't tell anyone it came from, ya'know, a BLOGGER. YECCCCCCCHHHHHHHHH!

Jane - not true about the limit on assessment abatements being the current year only.
Under limited extreme circumstances, and Stafford may be one, the Town can appeal to the legal Dept. of the Dept. of Revenue to abate prior years, with the permission of the DOR. Again, it is section 8 of Chapter 58. It will have to come from the Bd. of assessors to the DoR. Difficult...not impossible.
Please alert both Cara Winslow & Mr. Holmes.

What I found hysterical about this discussion was when TA Andrews said that if we had a METERED system for our sewer system the above case would never have happened!!!!!!!!!!!! That's exactly what Tom was called an IDIOT for last week by Brenda Eckstrom. Tom claimed that the most equitable way of charging for sewer was by use or metered billing. He was attacked for it, called an idiot for it, and now Andrews admits it is the best system. I do believe Brucie also said the same thing in his sewer/bullsh*t article. You have to laugh about this stuff or you could go insane.

This first clip starts with one of Idiot Eckstrom's snide comments about the Friends of the WFL (quote above). No citizen should have to jump throught the hoops the McDonald's had to in trying to volunteer their time and efforts to our town. All we hear about is how not enough people are volunteering..thus the Slavin's are more than welcome to serve on many committee's..and as Chair on more than a few..but NO..if you dare blog..but not just blog..if you blog here..on Bill's site..then it's a "problem"..no matter to Selectwomen Eckstron and Donahue..that many who they support (John Donahue, Mick Jones, Michael Schneider).."blog"...and for the record..Bobo's political rag was illegally delivered with the Meals on Wheels.. They were allowed to prey on seniors for long enough..Brenda and Jane and the Chair of the COA should be applauding anyone who helped to have that practice stopped, NOT condemning them.
"Working with" these two vile women is NOT going to work. Use the majority you now have on that board Mrs. Winslow, Mr. Cruz and Mr. Holmes..that's why "we" (citizens of Wareham) put you there..you represent the majority of Wareham..and the majority feel like the ways of Jane and Brenda are NOT acceptable..only you can do this until we are (again) next able to use our voices to help you remedy the situation..at TM..and the ballot box. Stop the bleeding!!

And Brenda here is a question for you. You said you don't blog, as if blogging is a bad thing, but don't you think it's far worst to whisper confidential information into the ears of the ragman and then have him do your blogging for you...just cuz you can't type, doesn't mean you don't blog.
