Notice what the people and butt monkey appearing below have in common?

Looks for all the world like these mercenaries will get full employment at premium wages without a public vote of our elected selectmen.

Give our new Town Manager a round of applause, won't you?

Mark Andrews appears to have the full support of Steve Holmes, a recent arrival from New Bedford who waged an anyone-but-Bruce campaign, and was the deciding vote two weeks ago to keep Mr. Sauvageau's mayoral ambitions alive.

Pray there are two viable BOS candidates next April who still believe Wareham deserves a competent Town Manager.

Meanwhile, last year's computer audit continues.

Ham of Peace here.

Two thoughts for Riders of the Peace Train:

1) Yes, I too have noticed that whenever Winslow speaks, Jane and Brenda start barking like "crazed puppies."  Then Bobo the Bagel Biter follows it up by giving her a jeer.  I think she's received 75 jeers now.  If she takes a breath, she gets a jeer.  If she scratches her nose, she gets a jeer.  But you know what Ham says about jeers - wear them all like badges of courage, for if an a-hole doesn't like you, then you must be doing something right.  This is a long used Hypocrite Elite tactic - they try to marginalize people by barking every time they say a work in the hopes they'll just give up.  Winslow is too tough to give up, but Wareham must also get her back.

2)   I think Holmes deserves alot of credit.  His campaign and public speaking skills were a key factor in winning the election, bringing change to Wareham, and ridding the town of Sweet Brucey rule.

He's also no fan of the Ragman, as he has stated publicly.  He even said something the other night about "newspapers playing games" with race, which I thought was a reference to the Bagel Chomper.  Bottomline - anyone who thinks the Ragman is a Big Doofus has Ham's vote.

Holmes did speak out against the moronic mayor plan on town meeting floor.  He was against showing the CRC the door, but he did say during that meeting that it was clear that the public did not want a mayor change, that the CRC needed to abandon that idea, and they needed to make sure they analyzed the charter rationally without holding resentment over their mayor plan being voted down.

Yes, I'd like to see the CRC and Mr. TA shown the door for their shenanigans, but I understand Holmes' reasoning and I believe he is doing what he believes is right, which at the end of the day, is all you can ask of a selectman.

Alright, Ham. Hope I'm wrong and will happily admit the error, but I say we got played.

That’s why it was so gut-wrenching to witness the ordeal Chief Stanley has been put through the past two months. Yes, he was exonerated from shameless claims that he used a racial slur during an arrest of a suspect, but he should never have been put in that position.
The claimant recanted his assertions, saying he was put up to it by someone else. He finally confessed, saying he was tired of being used as a tool. A tool for what? For what purpose? To force the town into replacing him? That’s truly frightening.
Of course it was a tremendous relief to hear Town Counsel exonerate Stanley after an investigation revealed there was no evidence that Stanley ever made such a racist statement. In fact, Stanley wasn’t even present during the arrest. Yet only one day after this complete embarrassment to this community some anonymous bloggers were once again calling for the chief to be replaced.

GUT WRENCHING BRUCEY? YET YOU HAD NO PROBLEM CALLING ANOTHER POLICE OFFICER A RACIST IN AN OPEN MTG WITHOUT HESITATION!!!

Would you rather have Sweet Brucey and Cronie? I'm just sayin'.

I think Steve's a good guy with integrity. I thought that before he was elected..and still do. He also TRULY has a mind of his own..and once he's "decided" his postion on something..I think the word "stubborn" comes to mind. He won't budge...and he'll talk and talk and he might even get you to see it from his point of view. I don't always agree with everything he says..but I think he's honest, thoughtful and almost always willing to speak up whether he agrees or disagrees with someone else. One funny thing (though) that I noticed is at the meeting's he bring's up "important" points aka "problems"..and then seems to listen to Jane and Brenda..or the TA..or whoever is sitting in front of the Selectmen..and then decides to "go the other direction"..from his initial thought..the thought that made him raise the issue in the first place..I think the CRC "thing" was like that. He was the one who brought up that the charter states that their  "charge" is to make a presentation at the first TM of any year ending with a zero (and that's IT) ..It was a good point..a 'grey area" in the charter..(just the type of thing Jane and Brenda like to exploit). I had just been going along thinking..oh yeah..they're appointed until November..whatever. But, shouldn't it be that once they fulfill their obligation of presenting "something" at the Spring TM's ending in zero..they should be "released" immediately afterwards? I think the current CRC should "fix" that. Make CRC appointments end at the end of Spring TM. I think that since the appointments were already made for this CRC through November..that they should go through till then..though I definitely feel like if the BoS want to vote to end their appointments, then they can/should do it...and THIS CRC should define it/fix the charter for future CRC's. This CRC will have six months to do what they should have been doing for the last year and a half.

Here is my issue with Steve, he told us that we were the laughingstock of the Commonwealth and he would see to it that there would be change. Now, suddenly he is "seeing the light" that Jane and Brenda are right? No way! He is too smart for that. He has to know that those two are the reason why we became a laughingstock.

I really want him to stick to his campaign message and turn this mess around. I expect both Steve and Cara to keep true to their word. Now I don't expect that I will always agree with them, but the way I saw it Tuesday night Steve is getting a little too much Brenda 101.

And Brenda, we don't need to you clean up any more "messes" left by previous Boards. You have created enough havoc to keep the next ten Boards busy mopping up your mess.

Bluntly. Wareham under Brenda and Jane fucked its workforce sideways.

Taxes up, services down, competent workers will ignore us and those we have will leave.

Make sure to wish Mike Parola well. Tommorrow's his last day.
