I think the TA has learned a lesson regarding spending the people of Wareham's money without asking for permission.
He looked like a deer in the headlights. He damn near got his ass handed to him, but cooler heads prevailed. The Town Meeting members are not stupid and they are not easily duped.
Mr. Andrews had better watch his butt in the next few weeks and months. I don't anticipate his tenure to be long, nor do I expect the people of Wareham are going to allow a recycled Chief of Police an opportunity to get wealthy from us.
Next job is to find a qualified, young, aggressive foresighted Chief of Police.
I hope the BOS calls for an exam and gets down to business.

Thanks Beach Plum for the kind words. I watched for most of the Meeting, but transmission was lost again.
Did you complete the Meeting?
I have to congratulate Claire Smith again. She is an absolutely superb Moderator. I swear it's like she was born for the job.
Thankfully, she is still young and will be around a long time to continue to run a smooth Town Meeting.
I thought all of the speakers were well versed in their presentations, with the exception of a couple like the former Chairman and the CRC member who abandoned ship.
Those who sought to change the government should be thankful they had the opportunity to speak at will last night.
Now...maybe you understand what everyone on this site understands...Town Meeting is the best form of government in the Country and will always be a part of Wareham.
Enjoy it. Work within the system. Channel some of that positive energy toward helping the Town improve and prosper and have a great future.
No matter what "side" you are on, you should be proud of your contributions and the fact that you attended Town Meeting to support your views. That is what it is all about!
