This is sort of interesting. They had already posted the library director”s job in Jan. I can’t remember when it started but I remember reading the last day to apply was at the end of January. Why are they posting this job again?

Only 3 people applied and only one of those met the basic requirements, apparently. When Sandwich advertised, they got 30 applications. I think the last round, we got 12 or so.

Anyone who can "google" will learn about the vendetta, the litigation, the understaffing and underfunding, the decertification/recertification disaster, the hiring/not hiring of the lawyer/librarian, the current attitude of the administration towards the non profits supporting the library, the libelous false allegations of embezzlement/money laundering/ loan sharking/ copy machine/ used book sale scheme/ and as yet unnamed final method of dirty deeds by the local tacky tabloid writer, the computer audit, the Inspector General investigation. I could go on.

I imagine that someone trained in Library and Information science would be able to do a little research. So, what are our chances?? This library needs a highly qualified person with, as the ad says, at least 5 years of library administration to come in and get the WFL back on track.

It never should have gotten off track.

Nora    The ad also doesn’t say what the salary will be; maybe they aren’t being competitive with the salary offer. Salary on top of all the other negatives doesn’t make Wareham the most attractive place to work. I hope Bobo is happy, oh yeah that’s right he’s not affected by this because he doesn’t live in Wareham. Three people applying in contrast to Sandwich getting 30 applicants is very sad to read. Once again I hope your happy Bobo qualified people aren’t applying for jobs in Wareham because of all your nonsense.
