chief stanley has done a ood job as a police chief but is he worth 180 k , because we have to lay off 2 to 3 employees so he can get 180 k,

I'm sure all of the people that have been layed off don't think it's a good idea. The town employees that had to take furlough days don't think it's a good idea. Are they going to ask the town employees to take more furlough days to pay help pay for the 180K.

The only thing I see Chief Stanley do is kiss ass and hope for a bright and fruitful future. What he has done since he has been there is no more than a qualified street cop could do. Get a real full time Chief, through Civil Service, after the exam has been called for.
I think these Selectmen are too impressed with themselves and their abilities to do the things they are to ruin the Town.
I am really too pissed to say much now after seeing what I did last week.

Ask Ham of Peace to overnight you some Peace dust. Maybe that will help. It's in short supply because of all the things going on in town but I'm sure he has a stash hidden somewhere.

Is he "crashing" at Curly and Jane's? I've seen him endorse the BoS' plan to remove Civil Service at TM, and before at a BoS mtg (the Article passed anyway, and it/we're being ignored). Listen..I respect the "office"..in fact, I respect all the offices..it's some/most of the individuals holding those postions, I have a problem with. As a part-time, interim..whatever Chief he SEEMS to have done an ADEQUATE to Good job thus far..They're ready to give him the keys to the city (and "Biz" and Andrews). Why?? There really isn't enough data to justify "all the love" It's because if everyone says "Wow, they're just fantastic" then (they believe) it follows that they too are "just fantastic"..never mind that Biz doesn't have a degree (they'll try and convince you that's preferable)..Andrews (14 open mtg law violations, 'nuf 'ced)..
Fine..they've been very VERY "chummy" with the new Chief..and accomodating..Who here thinks that thing's would NOT have been great if they had shown 10% the willingness to work with former Chief Joyce (who had spent how long "serving" Wareham?)..and Stanley is named in a wrongful death case (currently)*..isn't always around..and drives one of our cruiser's back and forth to N. Andover (I wonder if it's one of the 8 new Charger's..or maybe the SUV)..which they "conveniently" have not mentioned we are going to have to pay for (240K) in the next two years..they said they were paid for with a grant..They couldn't work (or were unwilling to) with Chief Joyce..and are falling all over themselves to work with Stanley..they felt like many changes were/are necessary to "move forward"..I agree..but the changes I think we need most are...Bruce..Jane..Brenda..Cronan..Curly.
