A letter appeared in the courier today, written by one Ellen Begley. One wonders why anyone would append their name to such a piece of crap. to wit:

"Mr. Baum is clearly a talented writer capable of writing a political masterpiece of fiction.....

Well, what is it EllenB? talented?  political masterpiece? Fiction? It is all bull feathers from the non-erudite EllenB. what it is, EllenB, is one person's rather well-reasoned OPINION. What? we can't have those malcontents expressing an opinion, with support and justification therefore, now can we?

"unassumingly attempts to place some doubt about the intentions of the BoS, the charter Review Committee, and Town Moderator JD in the eyes of the most informed voters in Wareham".

EllenB...did you actually read this sentence before posting it?

"Unassumingly attempts" what in Hell is that?

"doubt about the intentions....". Perhaps you could reveal just what the intentions of this cabal might be, to the edification of us all.

"the most informed voters in Wareham". Let me see if I get your drift here (and you are drifting, make no mistake);
presenting the "most informed" voters in the Town with a different perspective is a BAD THING?????? You must really regret the events of 1775-76 and beyond, as we now have no royal edicts to Kowtow to. No doubt the upcoming holiday on April 19 is a time for sad reflection for the likes of you.

"I was kept on the edge of my seat...." is that because you took a ride to Halifax to get your marching orders from Brucie as channeled by el BoBo, and the office of Pravda on the pottie requires that visitors be on the edge of their seats?

"preemptive strike" Wow! Was it the Arabs or the Israelis who struck first, aka a preemptive strike. Was Curly poised to 'strike' at Mr. BAum, hence the 'preemptive strike'. EllenB, you really need to have a basic understanding of words and their meaning, as well as the context, before being so sloppy.

"This time he took aim at the BoS, letting loose with a laundry list of ambiguous allegations" My, my, my, EllenB. One hopes that you didn't waste a significant amount of time on this sentence. There is no need to "aim" at the BoS, the transgressions are so widespread that a shot gun will hit many points. A "laundry list"? indeed, my dear EllenB, and you have finally focused on the reality of the situation. Perhaps if the BoS and its minions were more forthcoming, one might not have to be ambiguous, or anything but spot-on. One can only wish.....

"but in the end only showed Mr. Baum's true intent, which is to grab power from a Board of Selectmen and a town Moderator...."

Please reread that quotation, I could not possibly make that up. is EllenB , that dispiser of malcontents going back over two centuries, actually suggesting that a single individual, namely Peter Baum, can wrest 'power' (whatever that means in her screed) from a duly elected Board of Selectmen and Town Moderator? Or, is she suggesting that Mr. Baum has some secret plan to vest this grabbed power in some unknown form of local government? Wow! this Baum guy must be some kind of power wizard, to be able to effectuate this major shift all by himself.

Sometimes, there is a quotation where a Latin phrase will suffice, Res ipsa Loquitor (the thing speaks for itself):
"Board of Selectmen and town moderator that have slowly but steadily moved the Town forward"
