Just a reminder---the two selectmen up for re-election both admitted (see depositions copied to other threads) to not reading documents associated with a long, protracted litigation against the former trustees, Friends and Foundation of the library. This caused large legal bills that were totally unnecessary. The town had access to financial records as admitted in the BoS depositions, yet they said they had no intention of looking at them.
In addition, Bruce and Brenda signed a legally binding contract with the Friends and both admitted they never read it. Who would sign ANYTHING in this day and age without reading it??????
So, I ask, do you want Cronin and Sauvageau to continue to represent the taxpayers of this town????
At the very least, we should demand Selectmen who do their due diligence and do their work. Cronin and Sauvageau admitted UNDER OATH that they chose not to do so. How can you trust that they read other documents? Personally, I don't trust that they will.
Both of them admitted to and/or have been observed to only opening their "packets" at the meetings and not prior to the meetings where they can be prepared. I want selectmen who pick up their packets on Fridays, and READ what's in them!!!!! Not a lot to ask.
YOUR VOTE COUNTS. Tell your friends, neighbors, family etc. that the two selectmen up for re-election are potentially dangerous. Who knows what else they will sign or who else they will sue, without reading the appropriate documents (and I don't mean just reading the "highlighted" areas. We don't need the Cliffs notes version of doing business in Wareham.)
VOTE on APRIL 6.
