i think the freinds of the library should take these books and use these funds for the spinney library since the town does not want these books, there must be someone out there that can donate space for the sale

IHL is wrestling with the same problem that Sandra and I are: How does any one of us relate to an institution that we helped build and which we love, but from which we have been banished ?

There are as many ways to deal with the problem as there are people sharing the quandry, so I am only speaking for myself when I plead for a "cease fire" for another six months.

The situation that Mark Andrews inherited has no quick solutions. To get from where he started to where we all want him to be, he has to make his way through a political mine field. Before you jump all over him for a faster "fix",  imagine yourself in his shoes.  He needs more time than a lot of people are willing to grant him. If the library is still locked on iron rails toward becoming another  WDTC   political action committee in July  I'll be enlisting folks to march in the streets, but I'm counting on a turnaround before then.

The entrance of a library professional with leadership skills will change everything. No single appointment could do more to heal Wareham faster than the appointment of  a top notch  library professional. I urge Mark Andrews to move  toward that appointment with what Winston Churchill called "deliberate speed".

And I suggest that we stop talking about alternate sites for the Friends Book Sales: The right place to hold them is where they have been doing them.
It's a commonsense imperative. The notion of the Friends not being allowed to carry out their fundraising activities in WFL space is unjustified and outrageous.

There are are a lot of people who understand your frustration IHL, but  i say, let's cut a little slack for the man on the hot seat in Town Hall.
