Well...we know not it's not from the budgeted "legal" (even though that's up to 250K now..and they still went (way) above that, I believe..) ..So, I don't know. A little birdie suggested it may be "squeezed" out of the Police OT, or something. Having lifeguards is/will be great..but could we know where your "magic" accounting came from? Please..

GREAT NEWS WE LAID OFF HALF THE MUNICIPAL MAINTENANCE WORKERS AND THEN HIRED 16 NEW LIFEGUARDS.

It's interesting Sweet Brucey didn't think lifeguards were high on the priority list last year or the year before. But a month or so before election all of a sudden he wants the TA to do everything he can to find money for lifeguards.

Could they steal anymore from the library budget? They could if they keep the volunteers and the "interim director".

Probably from the "onset pier parking meter fund". That is the official title although we haven't had meters in over 20 years. Municipal Maintenance uses it for line painting, why not life guards.
