The recently released minutes of a May executive session meeting of the Board of Selectmen indicate that the purpose of their "audit" of town employees' computers was to find out who was blogging on town computers to Wareham resident William Whitehouse's generally anti-Selectmen website, who is spending business time on the internet, "who is investigating" the Selectmen, if there are outside businesses being run on town computers, information about "the double log versus the private log at the police station," and who is performing criminal records and other searches for information about Selectmen and George Coleman of the Onset Crime Watch...

Executive session minutes discuss purpose of computer audit

How much has this witch hunt cost us so far?

Ummmm  I thought it was to find illegal porn and online gambling? Remember this was done after employees were laid off and furloughed. And these bos spent our tax money to see who is blogging on this site. Vote the all out!

You heard the truth here first!

To quote Bobo, "but the bloggers only heard six minutes"  "That was just a small portion of what they discussed."

Guess you were wrong Bobo AGAIN!

According to the minutes, during the Tuesday, May 26, 2009 session, Town Moderator John Donahue asked if town counsel would represent him in his defense of a lawsuit from William Whitehouse, who runs the website www.warehamobserver.com. The Board of Selectmen voted to give Donahue counsel if the case goes forward. Selectman Jane Donahue, John Donahue's wife, recused herself from the vote.

Gee, there's a surprise. Town Counsel Richard Bowen spent that hearing playing grade school theatrics and insisted his appearance was on his own time.

Bobo must be smoking some potent weed if he actually thinks the release of these  minutes are good for the selectmen.  They're the worst thing ever for the selectmen - they confirm what we've all been saying all along - A WITCHHUNT ON THE TAXPAYER'S DIME!

These minutes confirm ethical misconduct on the select-clowns' part that we've been pointing out all along plus new ethical issues - like why the hell is the town picking up the tab for a lawyer for Curly?  Just one more reason why it's just a recipe for ethical disaster to have a moderator married to a selectman.  Vote that bum out!!!

I can't even begin to count all of the ethical problems for the selectmen that result from these minutes.

Somewhere along the line, we have gone from Corruption and illegal activity to shopping on line? If you toss in the charges of embezzlement (I think we can say the IG will find it to be a non-event), I am completely baffled!

I have no doubt that town computers have been used to check personal email or visit websites, but that is not corruption! Put in some policies to prevent that and put in a software package to track usage by id/screen. Why do we need to involved 100k plus for this?

From BOBO's latest:

"When the DA ruled favorably on Susan Williams Gifford’s open meeting law complaint, the selectmen were told that they had to turn over all executive session minutes to the DA’s office. If you think that smells like a trap designed to force selectmen into revealing how much they knew about allegations made against Mark Gifford, you are not alone. Sauvageau thinks so too. He said selectmen intentionally left out some of the details of their investigation in the minutes of their executive session meetings knowing full well that's all the DA ever really wanted"

Intentional deception to fool the DA.  Isn't this criminal behavior?

I just wanted to clear up a piece of misinformation that is now being pushed by Larry McDonald. The town spent $30,000 on the computer audit, not $100,000 as he is claiming.

Not true they have spent that money already. The figure has been given already. And we know that it will cost hundreds of dollars an hour to have the company go through them

BREAKING NEWS: After reading Bobo's latest column, scientists now confirm that Bobo has pressed his lips up against Sweet Brucey's butt with such great suction that a powerful vaccuum seal between Bobo's lips and Brucey's butt has now been formed.

The scientists further report that the suction seal is now so great, that if Bobo were to ever pull his lips away from Brucey's butt and break the seal, a collossal vortex would be ripped in the space time continuum, causing the universe to collapse on itself and be sucked into said vortex or "black hole" if you prefer.

Scientists assure everyone not to worry, however, because the chances of Bobo ever pulling his lips off of Sweet Brucey's butt are incredibly small to non-existant.

It would surprise me greatly if the above direct quote from Sweet Brucey in the Lackey Gazette didn't lead to criminal charges against the BOS.  What arrogance that Sweet Brucey would openly admit to withholding evidence and interfering with a direct order from the District Attorney.

Too late to change it now, Bobo.  The evidence has already been preserved by multiple parties.

Better start baking Brucey a cake with a file in it.  Dumbass.

Oh, don't worry, I'm sure between his gin soaked papa and his loser son, she's used to taking care of useless men by now.

Bobo!  So thoughtful of you to not give up your ticket and ask for some money to pay the astounding $5,600 overdue rent bill you stuck your landlord with!  I'm sure he appreciates knowing that while he's owed rent, you're sitting on your big ass watching The Lion King.

Rob - I got Steve's form - here are my answers. I figured responding on-line would save me a stamp:

Hey Searay -

Got your letter addressed to my wife regarding your candiidacy. You just wasted postage. Here are our answers to your request for support.

Yard sign on my property: are you serious?

Make phone calls: Only to support the incumbents

Host a coffee hour at my home: you cannot be serious, can you?

Pass out flyers: sure, give me a bunch, and I will place them in the trash as you and your hate buddies have done with the Observer

Prepare mailings: you really are wasting my time

Stand at the polls for you - Only if I am wearing a swastica and support hitler

I have friends that will also volunteer: Like Hell

Give rides to the polls: sure - I'll take anyone out of town to prevent them from voting for you

Need a ride to the polls - see previous answer

Visability - hold signs - see yard sign response

Comments or suggestions - pull out, now

Thanks again for your continued support: you're welcome

Will I give you a gift of $25, $50, $100, $500? Sure, when you own up to the fact that you contacted advertisers of the Observer to get them stop supporting it

Stand at the polls for you - Only if I am wearing a swastica and support hitler

I THOUGHT THE ABOVE WAS INTERESTING SINCE BOBO CLAIMS THAT SITE IS FULL OF NAZI REMARKS. NOT ONE ON THIS SITE BOBO ONLY YOURS!. ARE THESE TYPES OF COMMENTS WHAT MAKES A CIVILIZED DEBATE? JUST CHECKING THANKS

Seriously, this is what is wrong with Wareham. While Michael Schneider pens a letter to the editor condemning this site, the exact same type of behavior is exhibited in Sunday Night Chat (the other observer). Mr. Schneider participates in that chat so he is aware of the comments made, but he makes no mention of them in his opinion piece. If you want to lose credibility, keep pointing fingers.

For the record, Lenny Skynyrd was at Bob's meeting (the initial meeting). He was the individual who was standing as you walk into the auditorium. He made the suggestion that all opinions should be heard. He was summarily shouted down. Apparently he holds a grudge? He is certainly an angry man!

The infamous six minutes (reminds me of Nixon's secretary named kennedy, and the 18-minute gap, if memory serves)
included a discussion of "auditing" laptop computers, specifically those in the Mun. Maint. & Sewer Depts. There seemed to be a thread that allowed that laptops had not been included in the first go-round, and that laptop computers were a different breed, with different pricing for the audit. (Hear comments by cronin the Barbarian)

Are those two departments the only ones under the purview of the BoS with laptop computers? No!

How about the Treasurer/Collector's office? Were those laptop computers part of the computer audit? Or, were they given a pass? Hmmmmmm?

One has to wonder, does one not, that if you are a tax cheat at two of the three levels of goverment we all deal with, that perhaps you are also a tax cheat at the third (i.e. local) level of government. Don't know. But surely, the computer audit including the T/C laptops would clarify this question to the edification of all.

Why is it taking so long to give the public (El BoBo is NOT the public) the answers found, or more likely not found, in the computer audit?
