THE PRUDENTIAL COMMITTEE ALL BUT AMBUSHED HER WHILE TRYING TO CONVINCE VOTERS TO CHANGE HER CLERK/TREASURER POSITION TO AN APPOINTED ONE. BUT AS MODERATO FOR THE MEETING, YOUR PERSONAL FEELINGS ON THE MATTER INTERFERED WITH YOUR APPEARANCE OF OBJECTIVITY. YES, YOU RECUSED YOURSELF FROM MODERATING THE ARTICLE REGARDING YOUR SISTER,BUT AFTER RIPPING THE PRUDENTIAL COMMITTEE, YOU RESUMED YOUR DUTIES AS IF NOTHING EVER HAPPENDED. IN THIS CORNER, YOU SHOULD HAVE STEPPED DOWN FOR THE REST OF THE EVENING. A MODERATOR CANNOT GIVE EVEN THE APPEARANCE OF BIAS WHILE PRESIDING OVER A MEETING. YOUR HARSH STATEMENTS IN DEFENSE OF YOUR SISTER MAY HAVE COMPROMISED YOUR OBJECTIVITY IN THE EYES OF SOME RESIDENTS. THAT SIMPLY CANNOT BE ALLOWED.

Donahue - the worst moderator in the history of moderation, could not moderate his way out of a paper bag. He turns town meeting into a circus, has no ability to control the meeting, disorganized...looks like a deer caught in the headlights whenever a legal issue arises. The Hypocrite Elite wants to throw out town meeting...how bout we just get someone who knows how to moderate town meeting? Throw the bum out.
Yes, since, THANK GOD, there is a race for town moderator, we need Donahue Chronicles too. Tell the people why this clown should be voted out.

A couple town meetings ago, the moderator was permitted to bill the town on an hourly basis in addition to the prevailing standard flat annual fee. How much has Mr. Moderator charged the town during the past couple years?

I have it on very good authority that the Wareham Town Moderator consulted other Town Moderators due to his concern over the most recent town Meeting. So. Did it do any good? Did anyone see any improvement in Curlie's performance at that Town Meeting? It appears that his mentors failed to help him understand the difference between adjourning a meeting to a future time & place and dissolving a meeting at the behest of a disgruntled selectclown. And controlling a meeting? Simply review the videos.
Pathetic. but consistent. Just review the track record cited by IHS. How anyone can vote for this individual for ANYTHING is beyond me. THEREFORE:

Thank you, P-span, the videos of the Town Misfit letting Town Meeting go out-of-control are priceless. but, disturbing, as well.
At the time of the october meeting, I was very certain that Brenda had moved that TM "adjourn AND dissolve". the video reinforced my opinion. If that was the case, a real Town Moderator, not the pretender that is constantly distracted at the podium, would have ruled that motion to be out-of-order. Why? because the two items are direct opposites. As we know, the Town Misfit chose to address only the "dissolve" point. Oh well, it is all the bloggers fault, right?
How could anyone in their right mind vote for this example of the Peter Principle in action?

Thanks for pointing this out (and "four" everything else) NAL..welcome back. This is just one example of why (besides any personal reasons) he has proven himself to be a liability as Wareham Town Moderator. Time to serve him his walking papers. (He's walked that walk before..so, he knows the way..)

A current catch-phrase is "shovel-ready", relating to projects that are supposed to stimulate the economy, now.
Altho it won't do much for the economy, I hereby declare myself to be "shovel-ready". If it snows on April 6, 2010, I will have my shovel ready to clear the path so that the Town Misfit can walk that walk, right out of sight, and definitely out of mind.

Typical expression that appears on Mr. Moderator's face whenever someone has a question about town meeting law or procedure:
He flashes that look at least 200-300 times per town meeting night. Believe it or not, even Bobo has criticized him on this.
By the way, isn't it a conflict of interest to have a town moderator married to a selectman? Wareham can do better than this. Throw the bum out.

John and Jane's dream of running this Town must come to an end..Two major contributors to some of the worst days Wareham has seen won't be missed..

The only good that would come from a change to Mayor government would be to be able to put on your 3-D glasses, sit back, and watch Sweet Brucey and Mr Moderator slug it out for the Mayorship.
