FYI There are two affordable housing projects that are currently beginning to get underway in Wareham.

There is one at 815 Main Street in South Wareham. They have moved the large equipment onto the property and it looks like they will soon begin to break ground. The original develper had some financial issues and filed for bankfuptcy. Another developer, from my understanding, purchased the property from the bankruptcy court and is going to move forward with the same project as had been presented previously.

The second project is in East Wareham on the bypass just before Glen Charlie Road, on the pond. They have cleared the lot and it looks like they will be moving full steam ahead soon.

Looks like we will have some affordable housing units within the next year or so. We can only hope that the Board of Selectmen have addressed all the issues that were raised regarding these two projects.
