A third subject of the investigation, 25-year-old Theodore Lopes Jr., also listed as a resident of the address. He is actively being sought by Wareham Police and has a warrant out for his arrest. He is described as a light skinned black male, 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 210 pounds. He is believed to be in the local Wareham area.

I heard this on my scanner.  Hats off to the Wareham Police officers involved.  They were patient and no one was hurt.  Thanks WPD.

Guys want to work, just give them an incentive. Town residence should be proud of what is taking place.

Getting a tip of drugs and weapons in a house will be an incentive for any cop.  The officers have always been ready to do their job and been involved in this type of policing for a long time.  No change in their efforts.  Great job officers, as always.

The working conditions, equipment and training has improved, but much more progress is needed. The strong work ethic, amount of arrests and calls for service has remained almost the same as in the past. The difference now is the PD is issuing many more press releases than they did in the past so the public knows what they are up against and what resources and manpower they need. Before many residents thought the Wareham Police didn't do much because they didn't read about it in the paper. At least now they are finding out the truth.

There were always articles about arrests and info out there. What the WPD put up with (BoS) was so unnecessary, just because the Board hated the Chief. Officers were at risk because of their comments, is what we heard.  Negative press about the department outweighed the positive things that we were reading about their work.  How strange it has been over the last couple of YEARS to read about a Board that has been against most of the town's departments!  Almost all of them at some point!  We're a very sick town.
Come on, April 6!

Is the town better off for all the firings we've had? For the department heads who quit because of hostile work conditions? For all the volunteers who have stepped back rather than deal with the chaos? For the new hires--COA, CEDA, Acct., TA-- or almost hires (new library director)? For the boards and committees that have the same people on them who are vocal supporters of all things bos?  So far, I'm not impressed with the changes.

Employee morale is at its lowest. Any manager/leader knows that never creates a good work environment. With budget cuts and reduced staffing, now is when you need the employees to want to work, not employees who dread going in to work each day, and by human nature, possibly not putting their best work out there. There may have been problems in the past, but I've never seen this kind of nastiness, litigation, paranoia and disrespect from our elected officials and some of their hires, committees and boards.

We may be a sick town, voter, but we both know the cure. April 6.
