John Nolan, pictured here with his life long friend Ernie Precourt, won't have to endure a fourth winter without heat or electric.

Johnny died yesterday at the age of 62. He was a good friend. The fact I could do nothing to help him, until it was too late, will pain me until I longer have a pulse.

Bill sorry for your loss. Both these men look familiar to me. Which one is John?

Probably not saying much but Ernie Precourt, on the right, turns 99 next April and is still a better motorist than most. Eleanor, Ernie's wife of 73 years, is a year younger. I shot that image on 2007-05-24 during one of Ernie's regular dump runs.

Bill,
I am so sorry to hear of John's death.  He was a year ahead of me in school.  He was smart and good looking, too.  I never understood the road he took, but I don't question it.  He was always nice to me so that's how I was to him.  His Mother was a peach.  Everyone loved her.

Sixty-two is too young.  Some losses we never recover from but I hope that time will ease the pain for you.  So sorry.
