Based on damaged vehicle parts that were left at the scene, the police believe the hit-and-run suspect was driving a 2002 to 2004 Ford Explorer of a tannish color, though it may be a two-tone vehicle, Woodside said.

This has made me sick.  Imagine that boy laying in the cold snow on the side of the road for hours.  Even if he wasn't alive, just the thought is disturbing.  My prayers to the family.  No one should have to suffer like this.

Bornof:
I agree, when I first saw this posted yesterday on Facebook by a friend of mine I felt physically ill. I can't even begin to imagine how anyone strikes a person and drives away. I just hope they find them quickly and I hope they throw the book at them (so to speak). My heart aches for the family, we will be praying for them also.

My heart and soul feels so much pain for this boys family.
We must learn from this huge loss.

Please tell your babies you will pick them up no matter what time it is ,  no matter the weather.   No matter what.
We could call it   Andrews law..

I am sure that the boys family would have been happy to pick him up, but I doubt he worried about the walk. In truth everyone should be extra cautious when driving at night, especially down roads which have curves and poor lighting.
However, NOTHING excuses anyone from driving away from the scene of an accident. I feel very strongly about this since someone I know was killed by a hit and run driver. Personally I feel the penalties need to be tougher, maybe that would make people think twice before driving away.
Trust me when I say, losing someone is awful, losing them in an accident or unexectedly is awful, knowing that someone ran down someone you love and failed to offer any comfort or aid is something that eats at you forever. I say (again), throw the book at them!

from the cape cod times..."The car is registered to Andrea Mastandrea, 28, of Pleasant Street, Plymouth, according to public records. Baldwin declined to say whether or not the owner of the vehicle was believed to have been driving at the time of the crash."

some reporters do their jobs and don't print bs....

A friend of the young man's family said this woman has a set of young twins.

It has not been disclosed yet (that I have seen) who was driving.  So very sad.  His grandparents own Atlantic Medical Supply on Cranberry Highway.
