If you notice, Bobo has this big article on how the selectmen are calling for Westfield to be put to a vote because they claim (but provide no evidence of) some kind of far-fetched deal happened between voters and Bay Pointe.

The article is mostly about Westfield being voted on, but then has a brief unexplained mention of civil service being voted on at election too.

If they claim Westfield is the reason why they want a ballot vote, then how can they justify putting civil service to a vote too when that has nothing to do with the Westfield issue?

The answer obviously is that this board of selectmen cares very little about the will of the people and will stop at nothing to consolidate their power and bring the utter nightmare of a BOS-controlled and operated police department to town.

I can't stress this enough.  This board of selectmen controlling the police department would be a nightmare and a danger to public safety of epic proportions.

If you read between the lines of Bobo's article, this deranged power play is just another episode in their ongoing struggle to destroy town meeting, rip Democracy away from the people, take away the citizens' right to take part in town meeting...and why? 

Their single solitary goal all along has been to crush our current form of government so they can usher in a new Mayor/City Council form of government so they can all rake in fat, bloated salaries, get cushy jobs for their friends being their personal coatholders, and belly up to the bar that would be the City Council cash trough.

I am so tired of seeing this town dragged through the mud in a vain attempt to create a city government just because these people are unemployable anywhere else.
