Isn't it strange that the only quoted people in ANY of his articles on Town Meeting are the Selectmen? Why is that? The simple answer is if he would have asked any of those who stood up and voiced their opinions, he would have heard it was the beginning of a new era in Wareham. He talks about unruly crowds, but never mentions Brenda calling the voters assholes or how she went off on one of those voters.
We have been on the butt end of "lack of respect" by our current elected officials for a long time. Yes, it was loud and full of spirit, but what do you expect when you have been bullied or ignored for such a long period of time?
Why would such a proponent of the people vote to dissolve the meeting after 500 people attended that meeting and voted with their heart? Oh yes, because the citizens voted against what the Selectmen wanted. I see, you don't listen to us and now you tell us what we say is not relevant?
As to the question of who is wants to build and who wants to destroy, one only needs to look at the current condition of this town and figure out who the good guys are and who the bad guys are.

Open Government, period..Do you really think our "behavior" at last night's meeting was anywhere near the "worst" episode of "Democracy in Action?" I should dig out the vids from Taiwan, or whatever, when they're throwing legs, fists & chairs! Could it have gone smoother? Uh, yeah..(and that's not all "us"). I suspect the biggest "issue" people have is it didn't go their way, for some. Sorry Charlie, that's the way it works in this process of ours. Better than a dictatorship, I think...

thats not very nice... last time i checked the was the LAND OF THE FREE!!!!
DEMOCRACY many of my family and friends have lost their lives for the votes that were cast last night.. how ignorant and disrespectful towards ALL of our service men and women!!!!
