I had this tune in my head, so I went to YouTube to give a listen. I thought, hmm, this was about the time the whole Westfield thing was going down. I was, well, pretty young then. Then I thought, it's kind of appropriate (TM/April Elections & Spring TM). Call it an anthem. Dedicated to the current "misrepresentitives"

OK, it's pretty dern quiet on here. All kinds of things have been discussed on the Articles, and TM awaits. I think it's safe to say we've done (at least most of) our homework, and should feel confident in the knowledge we've shared with each other. Thanks to all for helping me become more involved, and informed on the issues facing our Town. Get ready for the "Last Dance" (at least until April)

Rallying the troops for town meeting with the inspirational "Braveheart Freedom" Speech:
They may give us jeers, but they can never take...our cheers!!!

Coincidentally, Mel Gibson, seen below in his infamous DUI mug shot, apparently could pass through the selectmen's rigorous screening process if he ever wanted to quit film and try his hand at town administrating:

I'm laughing myself silly.
I wish I was able to be with you all tonight. You have been working hard and developed a very good game plan. I expect that by the next few days you will all be able to say, WE TOOK BACK WAREHAM!!!
At least the beginning. April elections and Town Meeting will finish the job.
I am proud of all of you, and proud to "know" you all and call you my friends.
Have fun!!

Some old school Karate Kid inspiration for town meeting tonight:
"We're the best, around, the Hypocrite Elite is never gonna keep us down..."
The Karate Kid - the greatest film about a New Jersey boy moving to California and gaining the help of his elderly apartment janitor to fight off the gangs of karate teenagers that apparently plagued the California coastline during the 1980's.

It could be about a lonely Tennessee boy who moved to Wareham. He was immediately involved in a fight with the evil Cobra Chai (Selectmen) and turned to his sensei(s) (Dan, Dick, Bob, Ham, Etc...) to fight the odds placed against them. Be careful if I stand at town meeting and assume the Crane position! Kiyahhhh!

David Crosby's first demo of that song surfaced just a few months ago. Hear for yourself but I like it better.
