Geez, the Slager idiot is heard way too much for someone who doesn't live here and operates a marginal newsrag; his associates are indecipherible or non-quotable in a real news sense. Unfortunately, this town administration does not care to promote or understand the truly personal things that makes it's employee and our town more special. Without a passion to operate smarter, to remove negativity and pull together, their agenda proves groundless. In the last 20+ years, this is the worst I've felt it.  To see an Onset community subverted by a stupid crew of DemoCraps, I just cry out and say... WAKE UP, you and we all are getting screwed! I pray all of  Wareham can wakeup to stop this farce taking place!

TY Billw

I wish I had the magical words, graphics and literary skills that jump off the page like many of the founders here do. It's so easy to forget your French when you can't use it every day... too old I am to learn, I suppose...

The bottomline is I now see 2-3 signs piled in single DemoCraps yards when I drive through Onset, what an environmentality challenging appearance by the Donahues! Regardless, we all have to plan on getting our acts together and making voting happen. In the next days or so plan on the usual return salvo by the idiot later this week.

PS: Thanks so much our new cable TV station; I like the idea & sponsorship but you pulled out on a much necessary event that needs to take place here; when you don't get so much pressure placed on you. It's understood.

Confirmed sightings:

John Donahue was at Forsestview Nusring earlier this week comparing voting lists to residents; what do ya think?

BTW, did John earn a (retirement) pension with the new deal he received as moderator last town meeting? makes up for what the jerk lost as being fired so many times recently? he's been trying to suck up to (the actual elite of) Wareham for so long it makes me feel there may be a real flu! Slager is the virus...

I dunno but I applaud the Ragman for standing up to his former employer to fight for the public's right to NOT know that one of their town officials screwed up the town's assessments something fierce

I wouldn’t worry too much about the Donahues and their ‘Red coats’. (Remember them?). I’d be more leery of Bob Brady’s present motives, future endeavors and how they will affect Wareham and it’s residents.

BTW…Nope, I’m not a Democrat

That's why I say, I say and I'll repeat; sarcasm rarely works when you're talking to people you don't know. Spell it out. Saves confusion.

Hmm. I reread it several times over to make sure a person that could read, write and use a computer to post messages, and had a little knowlage of local politics would understand. Even added the last line as an after thought just in case. (dumbing down?)

Sorry about that. I believe it was in the late ‘80s to early ‘90s. Mr Donahue and a few other Dem.s where running for office and campaigned around with a rather large group of people all wearing red. Some people say they actually blocking entrances to stores.
Quite a few people then, thought it was very intimidating at the time. They were dubbed the ‘Red Coats’ and not in a flattering way.
Back then, the only unbiased newspaper for Wareham news was the Brockton Enterprise. The S-T was way pro Dems and the Courier didn’t cover any controversy at the time unless it were a letter to the Ed.s.
This was also about the time that people new in town started running for office after being here for only a few short years. Also at this time (or slightly before) our town’s elected officers tended to be mostly realtors by profession. That’s just a start…..

What right would Mr. Donahue have asking for names of residents who are in the nursing home. Wouldn't this be a violation of HIPPA? Obviously the Town Clerk or Registrar might have the right to verify that voters were properly receiving absentee ballots, but what gives Mr. Donahue the right to ask who is currently in the nursing home? He's not the Town Clerk, nor a registrar.

TBL

Republican, Democrat, Independent, it doesn't matter much here on the local level. We have all three political groups represented here on this board. Wareham's problems have to do with right vs wrong. Not left vs right.

We can have that discussion another day TBL. Part of me agress, and part of me sees the oversight of the DNC and their agenda pushed down.

TBL has "nailed it" again. ("Republican,Democrat, Independent,it doesn't matter much here on the local level.......Wareham's problems have to do with right and wrong.. Not left vs right.)

I think we do this group a disservice when we rail at the Donahues and others as if the fact that they indentify with  with democrats is the problem. The problem is who they are as people.  Sauvageau 's problem isn't that he's an avowed republican, but that he's.....well...Bruce Sauvageau.

Ironically, when you put  the unholy  alliance of the BOS with Bobo and his rag into the equation, what you have is  more  akin to the  ranting rabble on the extreme right who are an embarrassment (or should be) to the republican party. ( The aborted "Cape Verdean Protest March" is the best recent  ,shameful example.)

If it takes becoming a political party to  overthrow  these clowns ...and perhaps it does,we'd be smart to  label ourselves "Independent"

Dick is right on...the elections are non-partisan...if you check you voting roles in Wareham, Independents or no party affiliation, are the majority of voters in the Town.
Democrat, Republican, Independent, no-party...all have one thing in common...TAKE BACK WAREHAM!
