Well, after reading that the soulmates, namely Sweet Brucie & the harlot of Halifax had scooped the world regarding the fate if the (i)TA, I went to the web site of the actual newspapers in the market area to see if there was any reporting about this decision. None to be found, at this time.

But! The Courier had a brief article regarding a certain meeting in wareham on Saturday, conducted by the 'notagroup'. the article said that those in attendance would be asking questions.

Say what?

Is this the same 'notagroup' that REQUIRED that questions be submitted in advance? was there a last minute epiphany? wassup?

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!

This reporter, filling in for Rip Dinkle on the weekend, has just learned that the Saturday meeting will be graced by a SPECIAL GUEST!!!

The ONE, the ONLY:

CARNAC, THE MAGNIFICENT!!!

Yes, in this rare public appearance, Carnac the Magnificent will be at the 'notagroup' meeting.

SEE: Carnac trip & stumble as he mounts the stage at Wareham Town Hall, dislodging the famous feathered hat.

HEAR: His boring sidekick recite the schtick, er process that only Carnac the Magnificent can pull off.

STARE IN WIDE WONDER: As the hermetically sealed mayonnaise jar is delivered from its repose on Funk & Wagnell's porch.

GASP IN AWE: as Carnac removes the envelopes from the mayonnaise jar, and ponders them.

PREPARE TO BE STUNNED: when you learn that these envelopes contain the well-screened previously submitted questions.

SUSPEND YOUR DISBELIEF: when Carnac, as only he can, divines the answer to the question, BEFORE he tears off the end of the envelope, blows on it to fluff it open, and then READS THE QUESTION!!!!  How cool is that?

Ladies and Gentlemen, being in the presence of this oh-so-great one, while he might pale in comparison to the Legends-in their-own-minds running the show, is something that you will be able to tell your kids & grandkids for years to come.

Yeah, Carnac does seem a bit pale these days. he needs to get out in the sun more. No doubt this 'notagroup' meeting will be an inspiration for him.

I hope that the entire group who attended the meeting at the Elks will go tomorrow to the meeting at the Town Hall. There is no requirement to engage, ask questions, or participate. However, it will certainly enlighten you  as to how they will "sell" the articles on town meeting floor.

Maturevoter brings up an excellent point. They are going to "ring the bell" and show you what their plans are.
Pretty stupid, isn't it?
But, at least you will know what to expect and have lots of time to dispel the ridiculous arguments they will present.
Bring your "hankys"...there will be a lot of crying about the poor seniors that need to live in Westfield.
By the way, has anyone thought about how expensive and possibly prohibitive it would be to put senior housing way out of the way of Tobey Hospital and medical facilities. How about this: where is the closest Emergency Medical Service facility...namely the EMTs?
How about grocery shopping, etc.
These people pushing Westfield have their heads up their butts. Follow the money!
Good luck watching a clown show today!
By the way, Maturevoter isn't really that old to be called mature. Doesn't qualify as a senior( at least not in Florida), and has a long way to go to worry about ALF assistance.
