READ IT YOURSELF PEOPLE, YOU JUST CANT MAKE THIS STUFF UP. THE BOS ARE CRYING THAT THE ANNOUNCEMENT WAS POLITICALLY MOTIVATED RIGHT BEFORE TOWN MEETING. OH MY HEAD. THE TOWN HAS BEEN BLOCKING INFORMATION AT EVERY TURN TO HAVE THIS AUDIT COMPLETE. MY HEAD IS SPINNING. ON ONE OF BOBO'S ARTICLES THE BOS ARE PRAISING THE AUDIT AND EMBRACING THE SCHOOL, BRENDA EVEN SAYING THEY WANTED TO SPLIT THE COST OF THE AUDIT. IN THE NEWEST ARTICLE THE BOS ARE BASHING THE SCHOOL DEPARTMENT AND BLASTING THE ACCURACY OF THE AUDIT. OH MY HEAD WHEN WILL THE SPINNING STOP

Donahue said she was informed by Town Accountant Elizabeth Zaleski that the auditor did not ask for any information from her.
“How do you conduct an examination without information form the town accountant’s office?” Donahue asked.
WHY HIRE A TOWN ACCT WITHOUT A DEGREE? WHAT INFORMATION COULD SHE POSSIBLY PROVIDE?
Eckstrom pointed out that there has been “four chairmen of the Finance Committee, four town administrators and 10 members of the Board of Selectmen since this went into place.”
“If there’s money that people have been shorted, it’s not us,” she said. “We’re here to hold administration accountable if they’re not doing their jobs.”
SHE HAS GOT TO BE THE DUMBEST PERSON ON EARTH. BRUCE HAS BEEN ON THE BOS THE LONGEST AND HAVE SERVED THE ENTIRE TIME THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON. BRENDA HAS SERVED MOST OF THE TIME SINCE THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON.
Donahue remained bewildered by the board’s lack of inclusion.
“If there’s a problem, we want to address it,” she said. “We want to work through the issues and get all the information we need.”
THE TOWN TRIED TO STOP THE AUDIT FROM HAPPENING BY FAILING TO RELEASE DOCUMENTS TO THE SCHOOL DEPT. THE SCHOOL DEPT HAD TO FIGHT TO OBTAIN THESE DOCUMENTS. YOUR BEWILDERED WHY YOU WERENT INCLUDED?????

do you all remember the fin comm putting the ita on notice because they were not getting informantion for year end closing????

Maybe this is just too simple of a question, but......
If the FINCOM tells you they are not getting information WITH the ITA sitting right there, and months later, problems still exist, why hasn't the Selectmen acted on this? Hmmmm, anyone? anyone? ....Yes! you in the back with your hand up.....what's that? GET A QUALIFIED TA PRONTO! Excellent idea!

I think someone said that the School Dept did in fact send a letter to the BOS and ask for a meeting. Anyone have a copy?
