And in response to what I wrote, they decided to use a valuable publication, The Senior Beacon, to further their political agenda. As always, they don't care who they use as long as it furthers their agenda.
If you need any more reasons to bring a change to the partisan political machine in Wareham, this is it. Preying on seniors seems to be their favorite past time. That goes for the Selectmen, the ITA, the COA, and Larry Gaines.

This is about to get interesting :) Robert Slager's article on the entire COA/meals on wheels issue has the following:
The individual responsible for the Take Back Wareham web site claims the flyer was written by Gaines. That story originated a year ago around the time of Fall Town Meeting. Gaines was furious over the accusation at the time, saying he wrote no such letter and never delivered it to any clients of the program. The Observer has a copy of the flyer. It is unsigned.
Now, just for the record, Larry Gaines stood up at that town meeting (in his Anti-Library tshirt) and stated that someone changed the flier he wrote. So, which is it? It gets more interesting, but I'm going to leave that for the legal eagles. You should never put in print what you can't back up with facts!
I really dislike this political game. Why can't people just do their jobs without all the BS? Why can't editors and so called journalist state the truth?
If you ever needed a reason to support TAKE BACK WAREHAM, this continued string of lies and deception should prove it!
