I have read all of the posts on the Courier site for the past two days. Maybe it's cathartic for you to let loose on Slager and the BOS, but what is happening is that you are falling into their "trap".
Many, like Dick Wheeler, Commonsense, me, etc., have been trying to have all of you concentrate on what is really important: TOWN MEETING!
You only have a few days left to get yourselves together to ensure you are successful on Town Meeting floor to defeat the asinine proposals before the voters.
You have to concentrate on educating the public about these issues and the importance of them all.
This is probably the most important Town Meeting that Wareham has faced in decades.
You can't lose concentration and focus. You have to be successful. If you let yourselves be duped into running around the issues you will lose on Town Meeting floor and then your whole campaign and efforts will be lost.
Do you want to start all over again when you are on the verge of winning and taking back your Town?
Fight. Educate. Get the word out. Focus on what has to be accomplished in just a few days.
It is more important than you may realize.
Concentrate, work together, forget about outside influences, work as hard as you have and even harder, and TAKE BACK WAREHAM.
A lot of people are counting on you. Your children, your friends and families and most of all the disenfranchised people of Wareham that are looking for and expect strong leadership.
PLEASE: CONCENTRATE!!

Come on!!
I just read the Courier thread again and you are all being sucked in by moles like you have never seen before.
Don't be fooled by polite conversation, or the sudden competency of MsLilly, or whomever.
These people are dangerous. They are laughing at you right now for being dumb enough to fall into their trap.
While they keep you busy being politically correct and talking about all of the nicey-nicey crap they are feeding you, they are planning how to destroy you and your organization. Why do you think they are in power?
Do you think they are stupid?
Don't ever underestimate your enemy, and don't even deal in a position of weakness.
Feed into their niceness, and be slaughtered like pigs at Famer Florindo's old farm.
Trust NO-ONE outside of your group, and for goodness sakes, REGROUP! RIGHT NOW!!
Get back on track, and plan your strategies for Town Meeting. Like you have been... e-mails and PMs'.
Stay off of the sites that have never contributed to your success so far.
This is the site that you have made powerful.
Don't negate what has taken place on this site by legitimizing another site or engaging in dialogue with the people who caused you to be here in the first place.
Sorry... a dear friend of mine asked me today to give some "fatherly" advise.
I tried to do it politely when I first started this thread, but the time for being polite is over.
Not POLITE...FIGHT!!!
NOW!!

I could not have said it better Dan. While I am not from town some of you know who I am and you do need to refocus on the target. The Town meeting and then the Election. Yhey both have the same level of importance. Take Back Wareham is moving forward.

Dan, you are dead on target, mon frere.

I have posted several times this week trying to keep the focus, the concentration on points that matter. Winning debating points with the Harlot of Halifax is freakin' useless. So you corner him, or trump him, or catch him in a fairy tale. At this point, so what?

In the near term, it is performance at the Town Meeting that yields real points. And then, it will be the Town election.

So, which is it? Tastes great? or less filling? (Hey - I can't drink beer anymore, gives me the gout. but i can steal their adv. slogans).

In other words, piss away your time, energy & effort in a sterile attempt to one-up Mr. Slippery Elm; or, channel the same into a potentially productive movement to reign in an out-of-control BoS. Your choice. Your chance to effect change. Your opportunity to influence the direction of YOUR community.

What's..it..gonna..be..boy........yes..or no???????

The choice is up to you!

Think about it. please.

Dan, I hear you brother. Trust me when I tell you. I am as optimistic as ever that more people are engaged today than yesterday, and that trend will continue until we have an interested, and hopefully well informed public at Town Meeting ready to vote there "hearts and minds". Because I chose to engage Mr. Slager will not change either of our political views. It's clear he vehemently supports MWF, and that can be perceived by people as a good thing or not.

By us (hopefully) displaying intelligent, thoughtful commentary, and expecting it in return, maybe we can get people to see it our way because the things we do are based on alot of individual's input and respectful of the thoughts of all the citizens who choose to participate. Mr. Slager is not from this Town and I feel should not participate in these discussions. I believe his role should be to report on them, if he so chooses.

If MWF is everything they are claiming to be, then they should welcome the concerned, thoughtful citizens of this town and blogsite. If they aren't, as I said at the beginning of that Courier Comment-O-Rama, the hypocrisy will be hard to hide.

Get some sleep, brother.

IHS...I just read his latest posts (editorials?...whatever).
He spelled my name correctly. Unless it is somewhere else. I can only read so much without my head wanting to explode.
Thanks to all of you for your comments and your commitment to better the Town of Wareham.
