We only have 3o days left before Town Meeting. If you would like to have a neighborhood meeting, please contact Bob Brady, Steve Holmes, Pshooter, LizdaGnome, or me. We have speakers that have done a great deal of research and are willing to attend and discuss the issues. We need to work toward the goal of a large turnout at TM and making sure we send a message to the Selectmen and their handpicked appointees that their time is about up! The citizens of this town demand an open government that values town employees and wants to retain their knowledge and tenure! We also want to stop the outrageous spending habits and growing legal fees.
We have several tshirts left, bumper stickers are on the way, and we are working on signs. The tshirt sizes are small to 5x!
I am hoping for a big "coming out" party at town meeting!

Dan,
It will be good for the entire TOWN. We need responsible, open government. What we have now is sucking the life out the citizens in this town. We are receiving more and more emails, calls, and people walking up to us saying how they support the Take Back Wareham effort.
Let me be clear. The Take Back Wareham effort was started by citizens of Wareham, is for the citizens of wareham, and will continue to be supported by Wareham citizens. If you compare this to an organization started by someone in Halifax, registered to someone in California, and pushed by a paper written and published out of town, you can make the decision who has the best interest of the residents at heart.
Our neighborhood meetings are opening more eyes to what is going on. Contact anyone on this board and we will get you information you need to make an educated informed decision at Town Meeting. We will also be moving toward the April election with a full slate of competent, qualified candidates that want to serve YOU, the taxpayers, and restore the image of this wonderful town.

I had someone ask me recently why I got involved. Two years ago, I sat in front of our Selectmen during citizen's participation. I guess I expected them to listen and then take my opinion under consideration. In fact, Bruce Sauvageau informed me (in front of the audience and on public TV) that he didn't care what I had to say. That was the start. Since that time, I've been involved. The one thing you should never say to a citizen, taxpayer, or voter is that you don't care what they have to say. I've seen him dish out the same sort of comment to other citizens. I've watched other Selectmen lie and then try to retract what they say, and my all time favorite, I've seen them punish citizens and town employees for doing their job.
Folks, we can do better! We can elect people that WANT input from the citizens. We can elect people that WANT to hire/appoint people that are qualified and accountable for their work. We can elect people that WANT to allow our department heads and town employees to their jobs. Most of all, we can elect people that will LISTEN to the citizens of this town.
If you want just ONE reason to vote against current Selectmen, remember this statement, "I don't care what you have to say" and remember the chairman of OUR Selectmen said it.

Sorry Dan, not this time. I have several things on my plate at this time. I will put my support and efforts behind Steve and another candidate. I would certainly consider running in the future, but family and work come first at this point. I have no problem running interference, which is what all good offensive linemen know how to do best!
If you are ever up to central florida, stop by Eustis and say hello to my sister.

OK, brother! On both counts.
I think a winning ticket, so far from those that have said they would run for office or have hinted at it would be:
Steve Holmes: Selectman
Liz Maxim McDonald (Yes, it is important for everyone to know that you are a Maxim, Liz), Town Clerk
Bob Brady: Moderator
I would like to see Bob run for Selectman, but he's been there, done that. You need someone like Bob who knows the Town Charter, the Town By Laws and Robert's Rules of Order to become Moderator.
Bob knows the system. He has served on the Fin. Comm. and the Board of Selectmen. He has been in back and in front at Town Meeting.
He knows how to control a crowd fairly and effectively.
He is respected.
He will listen, allow proper discourse, but know enough when to move the Town Meeting along.
Just my opinion, of course. :)
