And common, I agree - this is eerily similar to his library claims.  A selectman tells Slager that someone else said something, and there is no documentation or anything else to back it up.  We'll see if he tries to spin some documentation that doesn't support his claim to say that he was right.  He published some bold, bold accusations though.  Money laundering & graft?  Those are some big words to be throwing around without any backup....

P-Shooty beat me to the punch, but I'll reiterate, keep in mind this report's only source is Sweet Brucey, and it is reported by a known Brucey Dupe.

Bobo can make us eat crow by getting the "special town counsel" to go on the record using his name and quoting him on what he was allegedly told by the DA. 

If the alleged town counsel already blabbed to Sweet Brucey, then blabbing on the record to the rag shouldn't be a problem.

Until then, this is a report quoting only Brucey told by a Brucey Dupe. 

Sorry, we don't trust people that owe $181,000 in back taxes.  Get the counsel on record and maybe we'll give it a second look.

Why would the D.A's office comment about a "part" of their investigation.  We have found nothing wrong with the BOS or TIA in what they did.  Nope, doesn't happen that way.  Bill thank whoever called the DA today.  I'm really curious about tomorrow's court date, but I have an 8:30 appt.  Is anyone going?, besides Coleman, that is.

You've got a story headlined "DA clears town officials," but you've got no quote from the DA staffer that allegedly said they were clear, you don't have a quote from the special town counsel that allegedly talked to the DA (you don't have their names either), the only one you have quoted in this story is Sweet Brucey.

You might as re-title the story "BREAKING NEWS: Sweet Brucey Clears Sweet Brucey!"

You've got selectmen issuing a press release cleared by a town counsel we aren't given the name of saying they've been cooperating with the DA all along, whereas last week it was "Selectmen kept in the dark!  An outrage!  Call the Attorney General and complain! Blah, blah blah."

Doesn't make much sense that the DA or the alleged special counsel wouldn't go on the record.  If this is the case, it would be a matter of public record.

Sorry Dupe, we'll need on the record sources with more credibility than the Duper.

EXONERATED FROM WHAT IF THEY WERE NEVER THE TARGETS.... SLAGER CLAIMED WEEKS AGO THAT THE TARGETS WERE THE EMPLOYEES AND NOW HE CLAIMS THAT THE BOS WERE EXONERATED AND NOW THE INVESTIGATION HAS SWITCHED TO THE EMPLOYEES.
