In my blog reader, I just came across this article about the BoS/library settlement in the Courier. Fact-based, devoid of bias and opinion, and positive, it discusses what each side gave up in the compromise reached in mediation. At the risk of the hatebloggers on the other wareham observer website calling me a shill for the Courier, this was something that I enjoyed reading, and that the town needs. There's no mention in the article of the alleged loss that Slager heard about thirdhand and decided to try to turn into a controversy, but unfortunately there is one inciteful comment about it in the discussion section.
Great article, I hope to read more like it

You are absolutely right acasualobserver. This article is fact-based. The title of the piece is Library/Town Settlement Win-Win. I couldn't have said it better. As I have posted before, it is time to let this issue rest and let the library and the town get back to its own business.
Both Attorney Beauregard and Former Trustee Priscilla Porter's comments are correct. The case is closed. I hope that when more people know the facts, the controversy created by the false accusations that have been recently spread, accusations backed by no facts and no proof, will die down. The library's annual budget has been severely cut, the staff reductions mean that service is curtailed and staff are overworked doing the jobs of more than one person, there is no MLS library director, there are no current library trustees, and the threat of being decertified again in the fall is a reality. These should be the major concerns of the citizens of Wareham.
