SLAGER HAS TIME TO COMMENT ON THIS BUT NOT PAUL SHOOTER:

  Lies - The self-described "truth" bloggers really outdid themselves this week. One of them posted an audio clip allegedly from Thursday’s "community" meeting, claiming that when Citizens for a Better Wareham bouncer Dick Wheeler tried to stop Brenda Eckstrom at the door, the selectman repeatedly shouted "excuse me."
    There’s only one small problem. That audio clip wasn’t from Thursday’s meeting. It was taken off a recording from an old selectmen’s meeting, the one in which Bruce Sauvageau and then-town administrator John McAuliffe engaged in a heated exchange over sewer rates. In between Eckstrom’s "excuse me" you can clearly hear the sound of a gavel hitting a table. That’s because Eckstrom, who then served as chairman of the selectmen, was trying to maintain order after several people in the audience grew unruly (the same people, incidentally, who attended Thursday’s meeting).
    The bloggers have resorted to many lies and distortions in the past, but to try to pass off an old recording of a selectmen meeting as something new simply to discredit a selectmen represents a new low (we didn’t think that was even possible).



NOW BOBO AGAIN I HAVE TO TAKE THIS DOWN A FEW NOTCHES FOR YOU. IT WAS REPORTED ON THIS SITE NUMEROUS TIMES WHAT BRENDA SAID AT THE MEETING AND I AM FULLY AWARE THAT THAT CLIP WAS AT A BOS MEETING THAT THE BOS LET GO OUT OF CONTROL. AT THE 7/30 MEETING BRENDA BARRELLED HER WAY INTO THE MEETING AND PUSHED DICK WHEELER AND WHEN SHE DID THIS SHE SCREAMED ,"GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY MR WHEELER" THAT HAS BEEN REPORTED SEVERAL TIMES HERE. BILLW POSTED THAT CLIP AS HE HAS DONE PREVIOUSLY ON THIS BOARD MONTHS AGO AND MADE NO ASSERTION OR HEADLINE THAT THIS WAS THE AUDIO CLIP FROM THE MIDDLE SCHOOL MEETING. HE JUST POSTED A CLIP. NICE TRY BOBO BUT WE ALL KNOW WHO THE LIARS ARE.
