I'll be waiting for Bobo's spin on this. Sounds like the Trustees got what they wanted for the most part. And the Town will be picking up their legal bills of $40,000. Add this to the the growing heap!

Finally.
The BOS may be getting the message.
Settle the many frivolous law suits and stop wasting
the tax payer's money to attempt to prove a point.
Congratulations to all the library folks for defending what was right.

SO THE TOWN GOT NOTHING THAT THEY WERE COUNTERSUING FOR AND THE TOWN JUST HAD TO PAY 40,000 IN THE TRUSTEE'S LEGAL BILLS AND I ASSUME A SIMILAR AMOUNT INCURRED BY THE TOWNSIDE. SO ABOUT 80,000 DOLLARS WASTED BECAUSE BRUCE WANTED TO CRUSH THE LIBRARY.

I guess ragboy and the bos were wrong about the library. According to Urbon, the library gets to keep most of its money, gets money for legal bills and gets to keep the money given to Spinney. Sounds pretty good to me.
Now I hope the library people can get on with their business without being slammed every week by the ragboy and now we won't have to listen to the bos call the library people names and accuse them of stealing.
Take a moment to enjoy the victory, but then let's move on people.

OK, please allow me to foam at the mouth for a moment.
BOBO, YOU NUMBNUTS, FOR THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS, YOU HAVE BEEN LYING THROUGH YOUR TEETH THAT BEHIND THE LIBRARY IS ALL KINDS OF UNSPEAKABLE EVIL THAT WILL BE REVEALED THROUGH THE LIBRARY LAWSUIT, THIS HAS BEEN A MAJOR CORNERSTONE OF YOUR REPORTING - THAT ANYTHING THE BOS CRITICS DO IS A SMOKESCREEN TO STOP THE SELECTMEN FROM UNCOVERING THE EVIL THAT LURKS BEHIND THE EVIL LIBRARY.
YOU BEAT THE LIBRARY TO ITS KNEES AND DESTROYED IT - YOU SPENT YOUR LIFE ATTACKING AND DESTROYING ALL OF THE PEOPLE THAT CARE FOR AND HELP THE LIBRARY AND FOR WHAT? NOTHING! LIES!
THAT HAS BEEN THE MAIN FOCUS OF YOUR REPORTING FOR YEARS. THAT THE LIBRARY HAS ALL KINDS OF EVIL BEHIND IT, AND THE "POWER ELITE" WILL STOP AT NOTHING TO KEEP THAT EVIL FROM BEING UNCOVERED.
YOU'RE AN INCOMPETENT IDIOT, WE ALL TOLD YOU THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG AT THE LIBRARY, BUT YOU KEPT LYING ANYWAY.
THE ONLY SMOKESCREEN WAS FROM YOU BOBO, ALL ALONG, ONLY FROM YOU - TO CRUSH THE BOS' OPPONENTS BY TAKING THIS BELOVED INSTITUTION AND TRYING TO MAKE EVERYONE THINK IT WAS CORRUPT WHEN IT WAS NOT - HOW DARE YOU, YOU ARE LOWER THAN THE FUNGUS THAT GROWS ON A MUSHROOM, YOU DISGUSTING EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN BEING.
YOU'VE BEEN EXPOSED AS A LYING DICKWAD. RESIGN IMMEDIATELY!
RESIGN IMMEDIATELY! RESIGN IMMEDIATELY! RESIGN IMMEDIATELY! RESIGN IMMEDIATLY LYING ASSHOLE LOWLIFE SCUMBAG ASSFACE!!!!!!!

The Selectmen should all resign immediately for putting the town through this mess too. What hell they put the library through and the staff and volunteers and supporters of the library through. All for political payback. All for political payback. They took a beloved institution and they ripped it to shreds and destroyed it all for political payback. How Bobo or the BOS show their faces anywhere without feeling immense shame and embarrassment for what they have done is beyond me. None of them are fit to hold positions of public trust and they have been exposed as such. They should do this town a favor and they should all resign immediately.

Just because my good buddy Ham ranted first, I want to add my rant.
What a moron! And all those people that kept saying, "wait until the truth comes out about the trustees". SHUT UP NOW! WHo ended up paying? Where is all the proof from the town audit???? Why did the Selectmen and their personal propaganda sheet keep running their yaps???? Now it's just another slap to the citizens of this town! Come on people, TAKE BACK WAREHAM!

Is anyone surprised that ragboy is spinning the story so that his idols, bos, come out smelling a little better? Since he has been proven a liar so often in the past, I don't think anyone should put stock in what he says about anything including the library. Of course, since I don't read it, I don't get as upset as the rest of you anymore---and my blood pressure has gone down to the normal range again.
Read the ST and the Courier--although I haven't seen anything on the Courier yet--to get more accurate accounts.
Isn't this just another reason to stop reading the rag? Do you need more reasons? By now, it should be plain for all to see.
And since the bos have also been proven to not always be on the up and up, should you put any faith in what they have to say about the library or anything else? Examples: do they blog or don't they blog? The town gets no money from crime watch parking tickets, I never voted for swift's beach, etc.
I keep repeating myself on these things but I know I'm not old enough for Alzheimers so I'm not getting worried. I apologize if you are tired of hearing it, but one more time with feeling--BOYCOTT THE RAG!

does this make sense?? bruce spanks the library trustee the he gives comment!!
A settlement was reached, but not yet signed, in U.S. District Court on Monday, according to a former trustee, who asked to remain anonymous.
After learning that representatives of the library trustees have made public statements regarding the settlement, Bruce Sauvageau, chairman of the Board of Selectmen, said "I’m rather shocked and surprised that representatives of the trustees are making public statements at this time when they were specifically admonished by a federal judge not to do so concerning an agreement that hasn’t even been signed yet."
Sauvageau added "I am pleased that we reached an agreement and achieved substantially everything we fought for on principle. And I’m equally pleased that we able to do so at no further risk for legal fees for the town."
