Tammy the Faker (how's that make-up?) wrote on 7/31:

"The Wareham Courier did not send a reporter, PER SE (My emphasis). But a senior editor from the newspaper group (who could it be, now?), who is a Wareham resident, PLANNED (sic) to attend and volunteered to go to listen and observe."

further: "The Standard Times reporter and photographer HONORED (my emphasis) Brady's request by staying outside the meeting room..."

Well, well well. So, the local weekly got down on the same level as the obfuscator, thru the use of subterfuge. Their ploy was to gain access to the meeting using not the usual suspects, but an editor who happened to be  "planning to attend the meeting". Or, was she?

When I first read this passage, my reaction was anger and outrage that an organization which holds itself out as ethical, moral and responsible  could resort to such trickery. But, no one seemed to take umbrage at this tomfoolery, so kiss it off. That was then.....

August 3: Tammy the Faker seems to have joined the "I"team in her latest apologia. In that, most sentances and paragraphs begin with the self-absorbed one-letter word. Growing up, it was drilled into students that it was best to AVOID that kind of emphasis on the "I". Tammy the Faker must have been absent that day.

..." Smith, asked me if I planned to attend that evening's Take Back Wareham meeting........But once reminded of the meeting, I knew my plans had changed......But we intended to honor the request (i.e. the ban on the media), so unless I was there as a concerned resident, the Courier staff would have no idea what actually transpired."

Well, well, well. It appears from this excerpt, that Tammy the Faker was NOT "planning to attend, and with good reason, as she had been sick. So, a scheme was hatched to slime around the request of Mr. Brady that this meeting be free of the media. And, this narrative, in her own words, confirms Mr. Brady's thoughts on the subject.

Two thoughts leap to mind:

1. Where and for whom did the obfuscator work prior to his giving the Cat lady the well-deserved shaft? Why, he is a proud graduate of the Courier School for Slimeball Journalism. Guess he got rejected at Columbia, along with Tammy the Faker. Ah, They must beam with pride at his malaprops, misspellings and mendaucity.

2. "The state of Wareham's government has been extensively reported in the Courier. (Say, What!!!!!)But the reaction of the those in attendance to the state of Wareham's government was certainly a surprise."

Holy shit, Batman! The citizens are revolting! Yes, Robin, and they are fomenting a revolution.

does Tammy the Faker really expect people to accept that the she was so deep in the dark about this? Now, to be fair (not that the Courier ever was to me when they fucked up - and boy did they ever-, but we Libras are balanced, eh?), the rest of that paragraph (ignoring the plethora of "I's"), is an attempt to capture what this blog has seen all along. About time, Tammy the Faker. About time. (watch that make-up!)

So. When we all growl, hiss and carp about the obsuscator, just remember where he came from. These two articles clearly show that he is the evil spawn of the the Courier culture. Great work, Tammy the Faker, you nurtured a real piece of Shit. But then, the apple didn't fall from its tree, now did it?

and furthermore....

The Clash?  Should I Stay or Should I go?

My answer can be summed up in one word from this tune:

SPLIT!

no need to compose a song parody for this one.

I strongly disagree. There are only two legitimate newspapers in Wareham.  Whatever the Courier's past transgressions, it seems important to maintain a good relationship now.  If Ms Tamson wants to praise the "Take Back Wareham" movement, then encourage her to stay in Wareham and keep up the good work.   Just my opinion.

Sorry, I disagree with this too.  Think of it this way.  We all figured that Bobo would prevail in barging into the meeting, so had the Courier and the Standard Times not been there, we'd only have gotten Paul Shooter's bogus account.  (Even had Bobo not been able to attend, his ace in the hole, Paul Shooter, still would have been clinging to the ceiling recording the meeting). The Courier and the Standard Times both treated the meeting fairly and honestly and in the end, Bobo and the BOS' and their cronies' plan to crush dissent through a transparent and pathetic attempt at racebaiting backfired on them big time, and now they are all cowering in the corner trying to figure out what to do next.  It doesn't matter what they do.  They've lost all credibility.

No, I say Ms. B appears to be a good citizen and gave a fair report of the meeting.  We should be glad that the public got the truth in the Courier and S-T, so they can see the BOS and their lackey as the bullies they are, instead of just having Paul Shooter's biased tripe.

Not so fast. Notalawyer has a point.

Courier: Citizens demand civility, respect and open, honest leadership

The Courier's recent history in this town is not a happy one, and I'm not all ready to forgive or forget it. It's ancient history isn't especially endearing either. Remember the front page photo copy from 1918 I posted a couple weeks ago?

Mental Defectives In Our Town

Two of those stories were plagerized almost verbatim, without attribution, from other sources.

I agree billw / notalawyer, NOT SO FAST.  billw, I don't know what "recent history" you are referring to but I would prefer (not knowing the "history" you note) to give her the benefit of any doubt.  I understand Tammy is a resident which qualified her if she's "unhappy" with the leadership and wants a
"changed direction" (just like you who appear with your camera).  Either way, the Courier was the one media entity that respected my position unless Tammy was there to report regardless of the way it played out, which we'll never know.
Unless both of you know something we all don't, I say let's not get like Slager and Co.  Right now they are reeling with uncertainty and need to make every effort to discredit me and anyone not pleased with our current leadership.  Most important, the moderator should be most ashamed for first thinking and then carrying out an attempt to divide Wareham by suggesting some discrimination of ANY ethnic group from participating in OUR community gathering.  My hope is that Mr. Cruz and any of his supporters sends a clear message to the moderator that he was out of line and it won't be tolerated.  That's the real issue and it should be addressed.  He (the moderator) needs to be held accountable too.  NO EXCUSES.  He tried to blame Observer Media on Thursday evening and suggested that he "didn't" initiate the message but he had no problem forwarding it to his entire email address book.  Pathetic !
And what happened to his "peaceful protest" ?  Obviously citizens saw through that B.S.  Again, NO EXCUSES.  This current leadership has tried to divide our community and we cannot tolerate it any longer.

The only good thing I see coming from such a horrific racial baiting incident is that the Donahue machine has lost its hold on the CV community that they have used to their benefit for years. It didn't take long for the Donahues to throw the CVs under the bus when they needed to.

I think we need to reach out to these wonderful people and let them know they are more than welcome in our protest group.

Molly, I think you might be onto something here.  The last few days where the Ragman has been cowering in a corner oops I mean having fun in Disneyworld have been delightful.  Maybe he'll take an extended vacation with Mickey and the town will actually start to get better.

I noticed the selectmen are quiet too...I guess they are helpless without their mouthpiece.
