I SAW A POSTER FOR AUG 1ST AT THE CUP OF THE BAY2 A CERTAIN SELECTMAN WILL BE IN A DUNK TANK (LIL JANE) GOOD FOR HER IM NOT SURE IF ITS FOR CHARITY BUT WITH HER IN THE DUNK TANK IM SURE THERE WILL BE A LONG WAIT IN LINE. YOU COULD ONLY TOP HER IF BRUCE COULD BE IN THE TANK OR BETTER YET SLAGER. YOU COULD REPLACE BALLS WITH BAGELS BEING THROWN AT THE TARGET. THE ONLY BAD THING ABOUT JANE BEING IN THE DUNK TANK IS THAT YOU HAVE TO SEE THE CRYPT KEEPER IN A BATHING SUIT.

It is now 9:37 P.M. and there are 10 on-line. One is me (sorry Molly) one is BoBo so that leaves a grand total of 8 others.

If the majority of the BOS signed on, would that be a violation of open meeting law?

That may be a better question then you originally thought. We've had conference calling via telephone for years, but now various forms of Internet connections enable the BOS to meet electronically.
This may not break the open meeting law which says simply "All meetings of a governmental body shall be open to the public and any person shall be permitted to attend any meeting except as otherwise provided by this section."
Of course it depends on the meaning of the word meetings.
The phase "whether in person, by telephone, instant messaging, and any current or yet to be developed form of Internet communication" should be added after "meetings".

Hey Mixie, I'll forgive you if you tell us what the great topic of discussion was this week. Oh let me guess--the evil cabal scheduled for Thursday night at which time the witches of Wareham will plot the down fall of this wonderful little town?
Details please. I need a laugh on this dreary Monday.
And bbrady--what do you mean by pajama party? Please don't tell me it was all warm and fuzzy. Ick. And hey--were you on too? That means 10 online, one was bobo, one was mixie and one was you? That leaves 7 and I'm assuming his ardent fans Leie C and Kate F were on too. Five out of the thousands of adoring fans? Wow, what a gab fest.

Former members of the BOS were cited for open meeting violation because 3 members emailed or talked by phone.
