A traveling mystic fortune teller just made me a deal - buy one big humongous crystal ball, get the other ball for half off.

That sometime between now and the next selectmen's meeting, Ragman will write a column where says it is understandable that Brenda acted naughty because the power elite forced her to, but that she should either apologize or resign...thus allowing the Ragman to simultaneously save Brenda's butt and to pretend like he is a big tough hard hitting journalist instead of a lackey.
Oops! Sorry, Ragman! Did my crystal balls spoil the plan? Better go back to the drawing board...

I'm done with Slager. I can't consider him a journalist. I can't even read his slanted twisted tripe anymore. In time, he will just fade away. Imagine a world where the columnist actually researches and prepares facts before writing an article....wait....the Standard Times does that....

His readership is very low as evidenced by the few people on his chat site. If we keep reading the rag and making comments, he has a life. If we make a pact to totally ignore the site and the hard copy, we free ourselves from the filthy lies that have been printed about some really good people in this town and ultimately, he dies (in the metaphorical sense of course. No intelligent person could construe that as a threat.)
And remember this, most people in town now that the rag is 75 cents either don't get the news, don't care about the news, or already get the Courier or the ST or read them online and don't care that they no longer get the freebie rag.
So who is his readership?? US!!!! And the few bos followers/lovers who read it like the bible. If we all go away, he is preaching to his little choir.

Have to agree wth MR Man..why even read the Rag??..for some unimaginable reason, people are paying for that crap either in print or online!!..I don't quite get the advertisers train of thought, wanting to be associated with such a douchebag..
