You wrote the narrative below yourselves. I simply edited.

Wareham's five Selectmen have waged a relentless campaign of race, class and legal war of distraction, demonizing and dismantling the town's workforce, ruling by fear of reprisal, gagging all dissent, misappropriating funds at every turn, and squandering untold fortunes on lawyers. Their agenda begins and ends with their own enrichment at town expense.

We the undersigned demand the immediate removal of our Selectmen and an election to replace them.

Pick it apart if you like but lets please get a concise, consensus copy distributed soon.

Okay, and after reading what we need to do in order to achieve a recall, it has to be a well orchestrated and organized plan. Basically, you need 25 VOTERS to request a recall and then you have 14 days to gain the signatures of VOTERS (I forgot the exact percent, but first we need to know the total registered voters in Wareham). After that is submitted, the Selectmen have 5 days to resign and if not, a recall election will take place within 60 days.

That's the cliff notes, and I'm sure there are pitfalls and potholes throughout the process. it doesn't end with just getting the recall vote. We need to continue to collect and refine our charges against the BOS to make sure they are recalled.

As far as i can see, we can use the same signatures to recall all the BOS (which is what needs to be done).

As I said before, I have my own issues with the BOS and ITA, and those will be handled outside of here and the recall. The recall, as far as I'm concerned, it based on the actions of this BOS. Bill described it perfectly!

There are countless bulleted lists of the Selectmen's offenses littering this site. Someone want to take a shot at collecting them for back side of each petition?

I guess what I'm saying is we need to continue collecting. There is more information each day and it just adds to what we already have.

With only 14 days to collect enough signatures of VOTERS to make the recall stick, it will require multiple people canvassing areas to collect the signatures.

it is critical we need to know the number of registered voters in wareham.

Wareham's registered voters number 13925 as of the April 2009 election.

Voter turnout usually circles the drain at 3000.

Remember the views of outsiders looking in: "Unbelievable", "Hysterical", "Too Stoopid For Words".

Let's hit the high spots and keep it simple. We're not filing a court document. We're dispassionately telling voters what they face. Throw them too much, they'll dismiss the whole thing.

I'd say, before the papers are taken out, set up maybe a night in a hall where anyone who is interested can show up and sign.  Maybe set up a couple of those throughout the 2 weeks.

Like I've offered before I would rent a hall so that we could meet and devise a plan

I would think the following or something along these lines makes sense to me.

1 - Set up an oganizational meeting, date, time and location.

2 - Set the date 3 weeks in advance.

3 - Advertise the heak out of the meeting, S-T, the other local paper, WBSM, flyers etc.
Worthy news organizations will pick up the story and run with it.

4- If it's going to work we will have more than enough folks at the meeting to sign whatever needs to be signed.

5 - have sign up sheets at the meeting for the various tasks that have to be completed.

If not organized properly we will fail.Like others have said before me this needs to be done right or not at all.

The last thing we need is this to be taken as a joke. Because if its done half a+@+ then they will have all the power they need to finish ruining this town.

I would be more than happy to help with the organizing.

Searay is right - organize, and focus on the goal, and don't just plot against some guy who writes to inflame.  As for advertising - Do you have a FB page to reel in the high school contingency?  Twitter, anyone?  You could really benefit from having some savvy young people in your court who can get the word out, many times a day, about what to sign and where.  Gatemen games, Onset outside Marc Anthony's, how about the bar scene and the mall?

Glad to see this board is becoming more focused on the real issues, and not the people who are just making noise.

Is there anything that seasonal residents, who pay lots in taxes, can do to reverse the downward spiral that Wareham is in, and make it the paradise billw says it is but we outsiders know it isn't quite yet?  Anyone have ideas on how non-voters make our voices heard?

Hah. You're not looking in the right places. I'll show you, if I have enough time before I get run out of town. That's not a joke.

Meanwhile, yes, help collect a master list of outrages, volunteer to wander door to door with a recall petition, shake down your friends for a few bucks to cover expenses and plan to bake something for our gatherings. I'm sure I'm forgetting something...

Anyone who has a Facebook page can set up another page, specific for this, during April's election Cara Winslow had a FB page for her campaign, if anyone knows her or who did the internet stuff for the campaign we can find out how to do it.
