Thank you standard times. It just gets better and better.

http://www.southcoasttoday.com/apps/pbc … 015/TOWN14

Wareham's rogue Board of Selectmen has stooped to a new low, caught red-handed conducting a secretive witch hunt, spending untold thousands to do it, and hiding its purpose from the townspeople.

Residents of good conscience can no longer abide this abuse of power. The board must be stopped via recall or intervention by state or county authorities. Only then can Wareham repair its sullied reputation.

The real purpose of their actions is clear. Selectmen launched a sweep of the town's computer hard drives looking, at least in part, for employees posting negative messages about the board on the Internet. Audio from part of a closed meeting, aired accidentally by Wareham Community Television, proves it.

IMAGINE THAT. THIS LITTLE OLD BLOG HAS HAD A POSITIVE EFFECT ON ROOTING OUT CORRUPTION--OF THE BOS.

As Bob Brady of Citizens for a Better Wareham said Thursday, town leaders are "causing a significant amount of ongoing embarrassment." That's putting it mildly.

Citizens for a Better Wareham wants to work toward better government, but it needs help, and fast. Thoughtful residents willing to work on the problem should join CBW and make it the vehicle for change.

Yeah, let's not just shuffle the deck, ok?

I've repeated this for years to anyone who'd listen. The current cancer didn't metastasize in a vacuum. Our Selectmen found Wareham's great unwashed, its majority of disenchanted voters, all too easy to exploit.

Ask yourselves, how comfortable are you handing the reigns of local government back to the people who let this mess happen, then walked away en mass? Can we trust those who only talk among themselves, those whose livelihoods depend on managing our affairs from the top down?

We can do this ourselves and I will happily help, to a point: Disclaimer

I READ MY FREE COPY OF THE OBSERVER AND SLAGER CLAIMS THE TAPE WAS "EDITED" AND NOT A REAL COPY. IS THIS GUY A JOKE? HE IS CITING AN ANONYMOUS SOURCE AGAIN. IS THIS SOURCE THE SAME SOURCE THAT SAID PORN WAS FOUND ON THE POLICE COMPUTER WHEN SANGUEINET SAID THE HARD DRIVES HADNT EVEN BEEN TOUCHED.

BillW:
I do not want to join CBW, but what is wrong with working together? Are there any candidates to replace these bozo's?

IHATESLAGER:
The only appropriate use for a free Observer is to line bird cages, cat litter, or a nice corner to train a puppy. Piss and shit all over it.

Ms. Lilly:
Where have you been? I'd imagine that the cold, hard truth as one listens to the spine chilling audio has left you wondering. No one is holding grudges, many people were duped by these people. Come aboard.

BillW:

As a long time reader and short time poster I offer the following caution. Before any group tries to exclude any other group in the effort to get rid of these assholes, please remember: " the enemy of my enemy is my friend". I am sure if we all draw on the strengths of each and every group who has been working so hard to rid the town of these assholes, we can eventually be successful. Again "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"!!

I responded as forcefully as I did because I'm already hearing the arrogance, and condescension, the "We're the grownups, let us handle it," from those who were culpable, and complicit in this horror show in the first place.

EXCLUDE NO ONE!

Amen.  It takes strong numbers to achieve a recall, and it will take even stronger numbers to replace these swine once and for all.  Petty past differences that fragment what should be formidable opposition only benefit the BOS.  Hasn't the recent past taught us this much, at least?

There's plenty of time after a recall and new election to settle your hashes on an individual level.    The enemy is the BOS, and in the immortal words of Bull Halsey, "Attack - Repeat - Attack!"

Actually, I am less than 24 hours away from completion regarding a very large family function I have been planning for the past year so I have only had time to peak in here and there over the past 36 hours of crunch time...come Monday, we'll have yet another day to battle my friend...

But before I forget...
Molly, I hate to admit it, but that "cops and bloggers" was a good one...

BillW...nice job with the new "Bird's Smiley Face in the Sky" Street Sign...if you posted it, do you know if it is copyrighted by anyone for sale?  I googled it and found it posted on a number of other sites, but only posted like it is here...I'd love to find a copy suitable for framing...

That image was in rotten shape when I found it; recopied so often it took forever to retouch. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the original.
