Slager gets it wrong again. Thankfully, we have a reporter who very simply, asked a few questions.

This is the rag crap: This comes on the heels of the resignation of Wareham Police Chief Thomas Joyce, who claims his “retirement” has nothing to do with the computer audit, which appears to be focusing on the police department. Joyce told another newspaper he planned to discuss his future employment with Interim Town Administrator John Sanguinet and that it was mere coincidence that it happened to be on the same day the audit team arrived at the police station.
He failed to mention that he is only six months shy of receiving 80 percent of his maximum retirement benefits.

Here's what Steve Urbon's latest article says: http://www.southcoasttoday.com/apps/pbc … /906040381

Police Chief Thomas Joyce said Wednesday his retirement was not related to selectmen's search of town and police department computers, and that his decision actually preceded the audit.

Joyce said he had visited the Plymouth County Retirement Board offices a week prior to the computer sweep, inquiring about his status.

He said that for a number of months he has been eligible for his maximum 80 percent retirement, and had decided "I have had enough, to put it plainl .

"I have for the last several years tried to maintain a professional position. I found it increasingly difficult to continue to do that while dealing with local government issues."

Why would anyone read the rag? The truth is finally out. Slager writes his own reality---truth according to his butt kissing of the selectmen perception of life.  Now let's watch him spin the story when the transcript of the illegal exec. session meeting is revealed.

Chief Joyce isn't the only one who has had enough! Let the downtrodden people of Wareham unite and overthrow this board.

Enjoy it while you can. Steve Urbon is the S-T's showcase columnist, which is to say the best this town will ever see again.

But the head of Wareham Community Television said Wednesday the broadcast was the end result of technical problems.

A contributing factor, he said, may have been the interim town administrator, who Heard said noticed that the speakers in the room were projecting the voices of the meeting.

Those present shut off the speakers but not the feed to cable, said Heard.

"Had they called us and said, 'We have a problem,' we would have fixed it," he said.
