- » Selectmen admit to trying to find the bloggers in Executive Session
#1 2009-06-02 19:09:10
The audio was on in executive session. Bruce said why did we hire these guys (computer techs) if we can't get what we want. The discussion continued between all of them... they want to find out who blogged from Town, and when they blogged, and where they were. AND WHO THEY ARE.
The pornography was mentioned, but seems like the smoke screen.
Cronin said if the investigation doesn't turn up what they expect, then they're in trouble. Also mentioned Bill's site having the Chief information.
Sanguinet claims he's getting the cold shoulder from everyone. Cronin says if we can't get the blogs than that's it! They're going after Simmons (water pollution) and Giffords (municipal maintenance) computers next.
Bruce said we don't want to hold off on anybody cause it will look.... (silence)
$100 to record EACH drive, $250 to read EACH drive. Cronin says he doesn't trust Simmons and Gifford as far as he can throw them. And he has a bad shoulder.
Holy shit people. THIS IS A WITCH HUNT!!!
Cronin also said that Chief's retirement couldn't have come at a better time
In conjunction with the computer audits... cause it looks better for their search

I was told they copied 90 computers. That means it is costing $31,500 at least. An outrage. Please tell me more than one person heard this (no offense common sense) but I don't think a real reporter will go with this if it can't be verified. It needs to go public.
Could this be it? The end of the reign of terror?

Interesting, when the meeting goes off line, the streamer continues. I have both on now. Earlier jane left her seat. bruce was watching her with apprehension. She came back with a piece of paper that she hid on her lap while she read it instead of paying attention to the meeting. bruce and she whispered to each other while jane made sure to put her hand over the microphone. The truth always prevails...huh ragman?
oh and ragman, you may be used up. Your buddy commented on how good looking the new CEDA director is.

I must admit, the spin is more than just a little funny--LOL. See the bos scurry like cockroaches when the light (truth) goes on. See Slager get outraged over the wrong aspect of the whole mess. Protect your sources at all costs ragman. See the blame go on the innocent party because no one is willing to stand up and take responsibility for what they have done.
The way Jane and Bruce looked once they found out what happened was priceless.
But I thought the computers at municipal were already copied. Anyone know for sure? And water treatment? What's that about? Anyone?
My sources tell me that the computer team told more than one person/employee what was being looked for. Those same sources told me they only copied 90 computer hard drives, but that even that was more than what they had been told originally and they weren't prepared for that many. (I think $150K is way too much.)
Does Bruce really think that just because someone signs a confidentiality form that they won't blab? The BOS do it all the time. They have leaked info to the rag when they want the word out--even from past exec. sessions supposedly. Big surprise there. And here is the logic. If the techs didn't know what they were looking for, how would they possibly have come up with the names of the bos since the whole blog issue is supposedly not the reason for doing this? If they were looking for "corruption" why would they say they were looking for bos names? How could they keep something that supposedly doesn't exist confidential?
And the fact that the bos are trying to spin the chief's retirement as part of the computer sweep is a sad attempt to make the chief look bad again. Nice try, but now the truth is out.
One final shot---ITA gets the cold shoulder. Boo hoo. He is supposed to be working for the people of this town. We pay his salary. He is not supposed to be ordering illegal acts, invasion of privacy etc. for the bos. When we finally get a real town administrator, I can only hope that no one will hire this guy to come work in their town. No one deserves this pathetic excuse for a human being.
Maybe the ST will get on this and expose the bos for what they really are.

Speaking for myself, the cesspool you would have to wade in is also filled with snapping turtles. I certainly would not want to put my reputation on the line when the people making the decision on your job are the ones you are fighting against.
IF the BOS are removed, I would certainly consider it.

The only way we will ever get a stand up TA is when this BOS is out of business. The last TA couldn't do his job due to interference from the BOS. It is obviously dangerous to oppose the BOS of Wareham!

Let's get back to the original point of this post - If this was indeed broadcast online, the people who saw it should be doing a couple of things:
1. Don't watch anything else from Wareham Community TV! You may overwrite a copy of the previous broadcast that is on your computer
2. Check your Internet cache for a copy of the file. The easiest way to do this is to set your browser to "offline mode" and try to load the video again at http://streaming.webcastsusa.com/town_w … n_wareham.[ To set this up in Internet Explorer, click on "File", then click on "Work Offline". Other browsers, or people on Apple computers, will have different approaches to this. This probably isn't going to work, but is worth trying. You can also load Windows Media Player while not connected to the Internet, and it should show you a list of recently viewed files. You can try playing it from there as well.
3. If you don't have the video, write down what you saw and heard. Exact quotes if you can remember them. Order is important, as is who was talking to whom. If there's no copy of the video available, this will turn into a "he said/she said" situation, and the way to win that argument is to have better documentation.
If you do have a cached copy of the video, post back here or send me a PM and I will explain to you how to record it to a permanent file.

Here we are trying to be "good guys". Why don't we just do what the Selectmen did in "reconstructing" the Executive Session Minutes from the past forthe DA. OH! I forgot they lost five years worth. Or we could just make stuff up and swear to it. Bruce claimed to not be present during the discussions about Eminent Domain. And then gave his "checkers speech" to apologise for lying.
Bruce's routine: Do something illegal
Lie about it
Apologise
Pretend it didn't happen
And hope noone sues him - criminally!
Regarding "CHECKERs" (Nixon's dog for those too young to know) - What dog would hang out with Bruce - the w--*e beater?!!!

BOS members jumped quite quickly to blame Steve Ruiz for the audio, now the real story is out by a credible reporter:

It sounds like Slager and the Selectmen owe a big apology to the technical staff for accusing them of doing it puposely. I wonder if Slager will print to the apology???? You cannot make a bold statement that it was done with intention and then stick to that story if you have no proof.
Another mud bath for the BOS, is there anyone out there who maintains an ounce of respect for these bozos?

From the other Wareham Observer
Quote 1 “Was this on purpose? It absolutely was on purpose,” Sauvageau said."
Quote 2 "The name is spelled C-r-o-n-a-n, and I absolutely believe this was done intentionally,” he said. “There was no way this was an accident.”
Both of these Selectmen owe the hard working technicians a heartfelt apology. Apparently one of their own, ITA Sanginet, tried to fix the problem by turning off the speakers instead of contacting the brodcasting service.
So, all good citizens of Wareham wait breathlessly for the forthcoming apology. And for the record, pehaps Slager should publish it and eat the remainder of the crow dinner they have ordered?

Question:
If the BoS was not in executive session on 6/2/09, and there are multiple issues which point to the meeting being illegal, then the following question arises:
How is it illegal to broadcast a meeting which itself is illegal, whether such broadcast was intended or unintended?
Perhaps the inquiry to the Plymouth County DA, as trumpeted by Phineas T. Bluster (aka Brucie) will confirm the former (illegal meeting), and answer the latter.

Since the broadcast was done accidently then I would say the broadcast will not be considered illegal. The key is intent and there does not appear to be any criminal intent here.

Bruce probably set the whole thing up so that he can discredit WCTV and move in to have "Goerbles" (of nazi fame) to broadcast according to his desire. The only qualifications for this new job is you have to lie, cheat, and steal and...Oh i forget and March to that step ( Goose Step?) the Nazis made famous. Fire up the furnaces!
An y suggestions on how Wareham can get rid of him and his followers? I suggest a "Tar & Feather " ceremony and set them on the "trash train". Does anybody know where that train goes? Does anybody care?
