Just read Slager's latest article on the water district meeting. When people who love the library turn out to vote in favor of funding, they are called the evil "Library Lobby." But when Jane and John run out to call their puppets, why aren't they called the "Donahue Lobby"??? And people don't think we need to change the charter so that relatives of board members can't moderate their meetings? No conflict of interest?? And when people left town meeting after voting, they were called nasty names by the BOS and Slager, and yet when this crew voted on article 14 and left before voting on millions of dollars in a budget they get a pass/mild rebuke? Fair and balanced? Let's wake up people. We need to get as many voters as possible to go to town meeting.
Don't forget. Their charter review committee consists of people who didn't even bother to read the charter and who have been to only a couple of town meetings in their lives (they said so on tv). The BOS chose not to appoint three people who applied who are familiar with the charter and attend town meetings falthfully, but who they consider enemies because they don't see eye to eye--that is when Brenda gets her sight back. John Donahue said that this time, he will allow all articles to be heard. I guess he realizes that by illegally closing the meeting last time so the Donahue article wouldn't be heard, he didn't look to good--just proving why we need the charter change.
What can we do? Bring all your friends and family members to town meeting to vote. You can be sure the Donahue lobby will be working the phones and telling people how to vote (don't bother wasting time reading the warrant, just vote the way we tell you.) After explaining the situation, ask your friends and family to vote for the article that bans a family member from being the moderator
Town meeting April 27 and 28. Be there.

still think you are children here but just an fyi, apparently all the neighbors and association members of the maple springs road developement have had just enough of the bindas woman. guess she wears her welcome out quickly where ever she goes.
even the people she snooked and did not have to strongarm to sign her petition are getting sick of her. whatever you do dont leave your lawn over 2 and 1/4 inches this summer and dont put up a fence unless it is approved by her.
sound familiar : they were right she would have been a good fit for this board

My first issue had to do with a friend of mine and in fact do concede that that paper had blatently lied in it. whether robert slager knew that or just printed what bruce said as gospel i dont know. as far as this issue i have with this know it all, her tactics are self evident and i thought i would share.
just appears to be a pattern and i dont think it is fair. every town she goes to it is the same story actively contributes to a political candidate and then ghets her bidding done at everyones expense. that may be how things work but i dont have to like it.
as for the rest i agree that people need more facts then we have been getting in the observer or the dossier for that matter . just wish you people would use a little more decorum.
p.s. disgrace if slager doesnt have a full page jeer for that meeting last night i will cancel my subscription if he doesnt. last time i checked freedom of the press was his motto and what they did to mr. whitehouse (whether i like him or not ) was nothing short of criminal

i quess if you cant get your way with the town you have to start screwing with people who you can get to.

Let's try to stay on subject folks. This blog thread is called Donahue Lobby. How did it get to a Maple Springs/Bindas rant?? Many people who read this blog want information and a chance to discuss town events. Let's keep a sense of civility in our postings and keep on target. You can always start a new thread if you have a new topic. If this blog is to get info out and correct Slager's many and frequent inaccuracies, how does it help to make fun of people and spew the same kind of hatred and bias we accuse the bos and Slager of doing?
Thanks and I'd still like to hear what people have to say about the subject of this thread.

What is most interesting about Queen's post (and FYI Queen I am far from a child, just really sick of all the BS going on) is that Bindas was actually the Donahue candidate, rumor has it they even printed her signs.
For some reason, most likely her never ending battle with Tucy and AD Makepiece, she didn't run. But, remember Jane had her greeting people at fall town meeting?
The Donahue's were left to scramble for a candidate, found one at the last minute and here we have Cruz, who hasn't attended a Town Meeting in half his life at least. He's going to learn on the job and the Donahue's are his mentors.
None of that matters, the point here is that the Donahue's are big fish in a little pond and it is time to expose them for what they are. I suggest that people start calling Senator Paccecho and letting him know how badly his friends behave and that little saying about the freinds we keep, yes.
I called today, told the nice woman that I am very disappointed in him and he will not get another vote from me or my family (and I have a very large family).
The only way to oust the Donahue Lobby is to play by their rules, see you all in the mud pit.

Calls to Pacheco will fall on deaf ears..John, Jane, Marybeth and the rest of the gang have been suckin' his ass for years now!!..the Senator is always front and center at Democratic Town Committee events, John holding his coattails..Pacheco must wonder though, how did Donahue fuck up that hack position??

I must bow to you Queen, as I think that post took a lot of guts to post. Your early posts backed the slobserver unquestionably and angered many, but now that you can see for yourself how the rag lies, or as you have stated, possibly allows lies to continue unchecked I'm happy to see you are willing to talk about it in an open forum such as this.
I'm sorry to say, but not surprised, that the slobserver has taken the opposite stand on the whitehouse matter even going as far as painting a picture of a dangerous criminal assaulting innocent people with his deadly flash. The rag is not about freedom.
