this is not the first time the elected vs. appointed issue has been brought up..unless enough voters show up, the results will be the same (elected) because the meeting will be stacked with supporters for the current clerk (not that they no the first thing about the water district!!)..just think, another chance to look at Bruce, Brenda, and Jane at their political best!!

It seems that SlagisDB is right, unless there are enough people to go it just ends up another win for them.
I hope the taxpayers know that the District is not bound by prop 2 1/2, they set the tax rate that we see on our bills plus we pay for usage. Sounds like a familiar scheme, isn't that similar to setting an administrative fee plus a usage fee?
Why is this not a headline in ANY paper? Oh, silly me, it keeps a Donahue employed.
I must keep reminding myself that wasting tax dollars to keep the Donahue's wallets lined is okay in this new world.

The fact is that the 2 fire districts have always been apart from prop2.5 . Remember and appreciate how long we've grown in the past 20 years. At least those volunteers who were proven guilty aren't burning down citizen's property anymore. Geez, maybe its only the paperwork in the Fire District clerks office that's really burning! Maybe the missing Exec Comm minutes are over at Water Dept HQ too? Hmmmm.

Those were the days, huh? I'll never forget hearing my grandfather, the hospital's administrator and a trustee, brag 40 years ago he hired two such moonlighters to torch the Toby Homestead. Twice.
