Over on the other site. I asked slager a simple question: whether or not in the past he has ripped people up and down for not avoiding a conflict of interest situation. More than chastising them for the appearance of a conflict of interest, he brought it one step futher and insinuated the individual actually did something inappropriate. I asked why he didn't hold bruce to the same standard.
I didn't get an answer. I reminded him that I did not receive an answer. Instead of answering my non-threatening question, he became hostile with another poster...go figure....

Sam, you and all the other bloggers over there have been kicking his butt all weekend, but I'd advise you all to not get your blood pressure up trying to debate this clown. He's a slimeball, we all know it, but he'll never admit it. You'd have a better shot at getting more intelligent answers from a horse's butt than you would from the Ragman.

Ragman writes over there (to Imscared2) - "And imscared, you don't have a clue why Elizabeth left. Not a clue. Please stop making things up."
Ragman, forget "Imscared." I took you at your word on your "leaving the light on" story. I can totally picture you and the Cat Lady getting into a screaming match over the few measly bucks you spent on those dolls. (FYI -Ragman, men with real jobs get their kids Nintendo WII, I don't think there has been a kid who wants a doll to play with since 1865).
Keep leaving that light on! Ragman, have you ever thought about being environmentally conscious though? I hope you aren't using high beams. Get a nice energy saving lightbulb that will last for years...its cost effective, better for the environment, and youll need the extra strength because it looks like that light is going to be on for quite awhile.

Oh God, Ragman has a new column, "End the Legacy of Hate" on his website (click on editorials).
Hey Ragman, if you really wanted to remove hate from this town, shut down your paper, resign immediately, and never come back. You are by far the most envious, devious, hateful man on the face of the earth, so it's always a good laugh when you try to pretend to be the peacemaker.

For the record, appeasement was tried and it failed. Many people were willing and tried to give them what they want and walk away from town government altogether. They did that because public service is not worth getting a verbal raping in the Rag week after week. The fundamental mistake they made was to not quit while they were ahead. They thought they could just keep going and full out destroy anyone who ever disagreed with them.
