Click on the link. The guy in this article is a con man that complained to the board of selectmen a few months ago that a Wareham cop allegedly made racist remarks to him during an arrest. The article tells you a lot about the character of this guy. But what I found to be most interesting was some of the reader comments from a couple people that say they know him.
This is the type of person the selectmen can expect to see in front of them when they encourage citizen complaints against the police. Would you believe anything this guy or anyone else like him tells you? I wouldn't, I'm sure you wouldn't, and neither should our elected officials.
What would motivate someone to make a false accusation about a police officer?
1. Retribution against the officer that arrested or ticketed him/her.
2. Other officers would be reluctant to enforce the law on him/her in the future for fear of being falsely accused of wrongdoing.
3. $$$$$ Money $$$$$

And just to remind everyone, when this guy complained in front of the Board, it was the same night Brucie was legally arrest for driving on a suspended license.
I believe good old Bruce said at the time he was arrested for speaking out about what happened to Mr. Kelley.
Once again, the BOS hitching their cart to the wrong horse.

Interesting, another example of why the BOS letting the selectmen's meeting room become a forum for criminals to plead their cases in the court of public opinion is not a good idea. This guy appears to be willing to say anything to save himself and was allowed by the BOS to smear an officer's reputation.
Don't hold your breath for the Rag to revise the "Bruce was arrested for speaking out on racism" story to "Bruce was arrested for speaking up for a con man."
Oh, a conman and an attempted cop runner over. What would the charge be on this? Attempted murder, possibly?
Yes, let's just invite more of these wonderful citizens into the BOS meeting room to plead their cases.

It appears the selectmen did set a precedent by entertaining Mr. Fontes' complaint about something that had nothing to do with him. Mr. Fontes should be much more concerned about the activities of his own son and the criminals his son hangs out with. Instead of being critical about a cop using reasonable force to overcome fierce resistance from a teenaged female he was trying to arrest.
Then there was the late Paul Andrade who was well known to police.
Then there was Michael Kelley.
There is also another guy who is well known to police that Bruce and Brenda encouraged to complain about a parking ticket he got a few weeks ago. But either the guy decided not to show or the selectmen read our comments on here about how we knew what they were planning to do with this guy and decided it probably was not such a great idea. Bruce and Brenda had a quick little private meeting with this guy when they heard him complaining to the TA about his parking ticket. I would not be surprised if they said something like, "Don't worry, we will get that cop eventually."
