Tri-town "For the record, Reagle asked us not to print her comments. We considered her request, but ultimately decided the public had a right to know that the editor of a local newspaper thinks thousands of Tri-Town residents are lunatics and dopes. That decision was not made lightly. In fact it was one of the difficult we have ever faced. We know the damage airing these statement may cause. And we expect to be criticized for it by some folks. But the decision was not made from pettiness or spite. We had never accused Reagle or The Sentinel of being biased because we had never seen evidence of it before. This is something entirely different."
He printed her comments for the sole purpose of turning the truth around - she was correct when she stated his supporters are the lunatics of the town - but look how he manipulated the truth. He will desperately stab anyone in the back with the hopes of destroying his/her readership. In his delusion, he believes he will convert the readers to his frenzied side.
"In fact it was one of the difficult we have ever faced." CALLING ALL CHIMPS - RAGMAN NEEDS YOU TO CORRECT HIS WRITNG.
Bobbie, why is it that every day is a difficult decision? It doesn't need to be. Just go back to being an objective reporter instead of projecting all of your weaknesses onto others.

Journalism Ethics 101 - If anyone says "this is off the record," or "don't print this, etc" then it is unethical to print it.

In the real world, Journalism Ethics was an oxymoron, something like Wareham Cuisine, Selfless Selectmen and Cape Verdean Unity.
For the likes of the small communities like ours, and coming soon to a city near you, news reporting is quaint history. In its heyday, though, benighted cub reporters everywhere were instructed to stir up shit and devil take the hindmost. "Grab your readers by the short hairs[*] and don't let go."

Objective reporting is fiction, doesn't now and never has existed. Like Prohibition, it was a noble, lofty and never achieved objective.
Don't blame media institutions that no longer exist for deluded consumers accustomed to spoon fed rubbish like Slager's.
Report your own news. Analyze what others are writing.
Then vote Bruce and Brenda back to Brockton.
