The Courier has apparently identified the "evil hat wearing man" alluded to the other night by the Great Brockton Pumpkin as noneother than former selectman Bob Brady.

"In an open letter to Selectman Chairman James Potter, Bob Brady – the man to whom Eckstrom alluded– told a different version of what was happening at the meetings. Brady did not remark on his alleged behavior, saying that he had done nothing wrong.
“That was a major over exaggeration either by Ms. Eckstrom or (Pacewicz),” he wrote."

Brady has been quite vocal on the issue of the public's right to know how much the town has spent on legal fees. At a town meeting, he told the officials on stage "shame on them" when they couldn't (or wouldn't?) give the answer. At that same town meeting, he gave the estimate of $500,000 just in the past year or so. The BOS never challenged that. It wouldn't be a surprise if the figure was more than that.
A guy who is asking a question that the BOS desperately does NOT want answered - you better believe then that's a guy who is going to get smeared.
But amusingly, that Brady wore a hat is the best they've been able to come up with thus far.

the town acct. has already got a new job their are peoplle who are glad to get good people like mr bliss. it is my oppion that lt bliss will get his job back . slagger is full of shit and is caught again doing the selectmans bidding in this weeks scandal sheet the rag. so bruce is trying to silence the chief of police thru thier wuss sanquist the next time bruce violates the law bruce will shoot his fat mouth off and the chief will not be allowed to tell the truth. and sanquist will say when bruce violates the law again ah bruce is a good church going boy and sings in the church chior , and his buddey mad dog slager will want to cannonize him a saint in his papper , st bruice. well that is bullshit both bruce and slager are lieing scum bags.
