Wareham Fire District Residents NEED YOU - to give the Cat Lady the BOOT!

http://www.welcometothepond.com/American%20Symbols%20WebQuest/uncle-sam.jpg

Do you live within the confines of the Wareham Fire District?  Do you like bright shiny red fire engines?  Are you bold enough to take a stand against fire?  Do you think that 99% district paid health insurance is a pretty friggin sweet deal?  (Especially when the Ragman will never complain about it?)

And most importantly, have you changed your purple beret, green dress, beige sweater, white tennis shoe ensemble at some point between the Eisenhower administration and today?

Well then, why not consider a run for a seat on the Wareham Fire District Prudential Committee?  It's kind of like being a selectman for the fire district - the diet coke of selectmenry, if you will.

Why should the Cat Lady be challenged for her Prudential Committee seat?  Because many agree that when she was the town clerk/treasurer, she was the lousiest official in town history.

But don't take my word for it.  I'm just a vile power elitist hate blogger.  No, take the word of "former" rag columnist, Pat MacLeod, who is on the record  stating her feeling that the cat lady stunk it up big time.

AND  - as the Ragman himself will tell you, if it comes from a Rag columnist, then it must be true.

An interesting article there for anyone who needs a refresher course in the debacle that was the Cat Lady town clerk/treasurer.  MacLeod saying the office having "nothing but problems" since the Cat Lady took over and former selectman Sylvester calling the Cat Lady a "blackmailer" are just a couple of the highlights.

So, take out your papers and get them back by March 2!

Don't worry.  The Cat Lady will be just fine without this gig.  There are plenty of opportunities out there for professional obvious non-sequitor writers.

Plus, the Ragman left the light on for her.

99% insurance ? Do the firefighters get that ?  Are they being asked to pay more in the light of employee cost reduction in town ?

The Fire District is independent of the town, a political unit unto itself.  Property owners get a bill, but the bill could be reduced without the 99 percent health insurance for the prudential committee members.  It's a bit much, to get benefits like that just for sitting on a town board.

Of course, the Rag Man couldn't afford to cough up the dough needed to insure the Cat Lady, and he owes her one now, so you'll never hear a peep out of him on the subject.
