Hi i am a single mom with two teenage children and  live on glen charlie rd.  I am upset about the yogi bear park trucking issue.   personally have no problem with trucks on my road as it has always been a busy road and they have been trucking stuff from the nader property for a couple of years now.
i have heard stories that people who voiced opposition to the complainer on maple springs rd.  have had town inspectional services and dss come raining down on them.  obviously this person has the political connections or juice to do this.  so obviously i need to remain anonymous.

i have recently been introduced to this blog and cannot afford to have these people on my ass .  if i say anything redundant to what has already been discussed i apolagize and i am just frustrated.

1. my house is 40 years old and directly on glen charlie it is a small cottage type house probably worth realistically now 185,000K.  My house doesn't shake to the point where the quality of my life is bad.  if these people paid 600,000K for a house that is not even on the same street and it shakes maybe  they should be mad at the builders

? if my house cost 600,000K could  i go to town hall and have my public rd. shut down? not that i would.

I guess what is making me upset is that in the minutes of a meeting(july 29 2008 {transcribed by Janet Wilson} that was  recently released i saw that brenda eckstrom moved to have the trucking guy send all his trucks out glen charlie rd.  when that failed she just moved to have the truck license revoked.  that failed.

i think i started paying attention to this after that but i heard that eckstrom and other selectman were talking to the maple springs complainer off the record before a meeting after that and only backed off because the lawyer caught them in something by talking to her

I guess my major complaint is that are we the two hundred or so people that live on glen charlie any less valuable because our houses are only worth 150K.  i thought this board and the observer paper are always talking about the power elite.  doesnt this qualify 11 people trying to change the policy for everyone.   i heard that the  jellystone guy is going out of business because of this and is talking to a 40b developer right  now.  does that make sense to our town to make one or two loudmouths happy?

i am not ashamed to say that i work at a low end department store full time and waitressing at night.  i pay my taxes and my mortgage and i have never been charged or plead quilty to a felone. my teenage kids are really good kids and good students how do i explain to them that they dont matter because we dont have money  this sucks the worst  bad enough i have to explain  racism  but i have to explain that rich people get treated better.  i just wish that my family and the families of all the people on glen charlie rd.  were even a thought in brenda eckstroms mind.  sorry we arent rich and you dont care.

It is sad a long time ago a wise family member gave me a lesson which i hold true today  .

After taking my first flight on an airplane i was shocked by the price of  the first class ticket which was 3 times the regular seat.  not to mention they were all empty except one.  being the genious i was i said the seat is a little bigger and the meal only a little better .  why not make the whole plain that way and everybody would be happy.  triple the price didnt seem to be a bargain for a few comforts.

this person told me that it had nothing to do with seat size or the meal.  it was symbolic and practical:  you are not good enough to sit with me.  i can keep you out of my gated community and out of my country club.  but this is the only thing i can do to keep the dirty unwashed poor away from me on a plane.

now we cant use thier roads?

I wish more people like you spoke out.  That's what this town really needs.  You just know in your heart of hearts that more people think like you and not the BOS and their supporters.  People like you need to speak up now more than ever.  No matter what the subject is.  What the Selectmen are doing is wrong.

And surprise, surprise... that Maple Springs complainer is running for Selectmen this election.

To "sorry", first congratulations on speaking your mind, what a sad state of affairs that you do not feel comfortable going to the BOS during Citizens Participation and voicing your concerns. It is rumored that the MS complainer is running, at least she says she is, but you have to get your nomination papers and as of Friday she still did not have them. But, there are others who are running, people who are not interested in this bs. There is no racial or class divide, it is all in the mind of the man who writes the rag, which should be called "My Observations" since it is simply that. But, everyone in the community matters and in the end this Board has a responsibility to act in the best interest of the many, not the few. We, as voters need to hold them accountable for their actions, so please remember 4/7/09 and be sure to pick a candidate that you believe best represents your interests (that would not be the complainer). I hope all of Wareham sends a clear message to this Board in April, that their crap will not be tolerated. We are tired of watching our community be dismantled, we want to work together and have our opinions and thoughts respected. It isn't much to ask in this great nation.

Google The Maple Springs Lady. She Causes Nothing But Trouble Wherever She Goes. She Used To Live In Fairhaven And She Caused All Sorts Of Trouble In Her Neighborhood. It Got So Bad That A Petition Was Signed By Everyone In Her Neighborhood Asking Her To Move!!! Yeah Thats Not Someone We Need Running For Selectman. Her And Brenda Are Already Tight.

So put her name out there so everybody knows not to vote for her if she runs. Sorry not rich, most of the people in town are like you. They mind there own business. They live and let live. The jerks like MSCL are just miserable and bored. So they spread it by bitching about everything to anyone who will listen.   I wish we could get the petition signed by her neighbors in Fairhaven.

I believe the Courier refers to the "complainer" as Linda Bindas.

She Owns A Business In Fairhaven And Had Front Page Ads On His Paper For Numerous Week. Bob The Moment She Pulls Out Papers For Selectman You Need To Pull Her Ads So Not To Have A Conflict Of Interest. We All Know You Will Back Her Because She Is A Nutjob Like Yourself. You Wouldnt Want To Be Taking Ad Money From A Selectmans Candidate And Then Report Of The Selectmans Race. Does Anyone Else Find It Interesting That They Gave More Time To Pull Out Nomination Papers? Could It Be That Potter Just Now Announced He Would Not Run And They Had To Scramble To Find Nutjobs Who Would Run?

The complainer referred to in the Courier was Lisa Bindas who owns Gotta Have It in Fairhaven, not Serenity Salon. And yes, I do recall she is a big advertiser in the slobserver, how convenient.

Allegedly the bindas lady told makepeace they could buy her out for 800,000 dollars and she would move.  Or what?  they already sold the land why would they want a house on that land now.     You know damn well if this was any of us it would be called extortion.

I am trying to follow through on a rumor that she has filed some sort of bankruptcy -- personal or store I don't know.

If the rumor is true that this person is planning a run for selectman wouldn't she have to have a bankruptcy on the books, business or moral? I thought that was a requirement for Wareham government, isn't it in the charter or something?

i love this

maybe we should start campaigning to have chimneas made illegal.  at the moment they are legal unless they are causing a nusance.  well i think they are a safety issue to all neighborhoods and we should start petitioning to have them made illegal.  not to mention the qaulity of air and life issues in the neighborhoods.

now that i think of it a friend of my granddaughter got burned on one of those chimneathings clearly they are a danger and for that alone we should make them illegal.
well certainly we cant trust parents to watch their kids without overbearing neighbors deciding that something like truck traffic is too dangerous.  so in that spirit i think we should start to get that ball rolling and outlaw chimneas unless you are 2000 meters from the nearest abutters property line.   you install a carcinogenic air purifier above it and can only use it if you dont have kids.  of course if you paid over $450,000 for your house you will be exempt from all of these things.  you may pollute the air.  and hey wait to you hear my next proposal how jet boats are destroying eel grass on the agawam

11 people trying to change the policy for everyone.
guess you need some voting. sign up forms.
200 people  plus 11 , would make a difference.
or a bribe to Brenda , your choice !
if 200 people gave her 100  dollars ,
there would be no more trucks .
while your at at ,
sweet Bruces car needs washing.
HA HA
or go door to door you need to vote.
if not
hey
a little back room deal is always on the table.

I can speak from personal experience (as can my wife) when it comes to this person and the nonsense on Maple Springs Road. This is why I became part of Take Back Wareham. I am tired of the Selectmen making decisions that benefit themselves and their supporters while the rest of us end up paying for it. Sorry not rich, if you are interested, please drop LizdaGnome or me a private message and we can discuss it.

One of the things our elected officials have counted on was the fear factor. If you work for the town, they will bully you. If you do business with the town, they will bully you. If you are a private citizen, they will send their mouthpiece after you. It's a pattern that we plan to stop.

We want responsible and qualified elected officials that look out for the citizens of Wareham. If you need more information or you want to get involved, please let me know! Welcome to the club!

Sorry: One of the frustrations of electronic communication is that you can't give deserving people standing ovations ! And you certainly deserve one for your account of  the oppression you have received as a result of the "money talks" principle that the BOS and The Rag have been trying to assign to the good folks on this site.

I urge you to take Larry and Lisa up on their offer to give you advice.  You sound like someone who has a lot of credibility with her neighbors.  Talk with them, and band together with them and we can get this great town to a better place.

You have been hurt and you are angry. You know how to deal with the hurt because  you are  obviously a strong person.  Don't let the anger eat away  at that strength...turn it into more energy, and link up with others; together we can run those bozos out of town !

Thanks again.  I hope I'll have the opportunity to meet you to say all of this and more face to face.
